  • Morning all!

Was in Lidl last night and picked up a nice little pack of bath creme, body butter and scrub for £3. Comes in a nice box, they are stacked rather than side by side and would be ideal as a token gift or emergency. They are not Lidl branded so bargain!

Need suggestions please. Everything going well, I will be going to Egypt in middle of August. I have family there so of course we are all worried, but unlike the last time, they have actually gone out to protest against Morsi and have felt safe enough to take the littlies with them, although the chislers are not happy about the fireworks!

Anyway, amongst the things I have bought for the littlies (1boy & 1 girl) are 2 little containers, probably supposed to be for food, but I don't think the lids are secure enough. One has a ladybird lid and the other has a crocodile, so I am trying to get little bits to put in them, but am struggling. So far I have got little tattoo suitable for each, a little bracelet and necklace and some little sherbet straws. Can anyone think of anything small enough I could put in there, think it will be more difficult for the boy?

Well done to those who have achieved so much in the last week or so, be proud and loud about it!

So far today I have managed to crack a tooth and blow up my car  clutch gone. Which may not sound that bad but the engine has to come out, so it's going to be around the £500 mark.
My BIL reckons its not worth doing. I need a tow bar ( another £100/£150). And it has some rust underneath.
    So I am getting a new car. ( which I can't afford)
And the sun has disappeared :(

Can't get my tooth looked at until I sort the car out.

ETA. Going to look at one this afternoon ( hopefully)
It's exactly the same as what I have now only a different colour.

OMO when it rains it pours :(

Just got back from the doctors and he thinks DH original hydrocele has re-occured. Basically means that the last two months of hospital visits, low sick pay, stress and life threatening complications has been for nothing :(

I know in the grand scheme of things it is nothing, but it means that our ability to keep trying for a baby has been snatched away from us again - we are coming up to 42 months since we started trying and two miscarriages later we are still a million miles from a baby - I don't generally share this stuff on here, but feeling very down about it today :(

    Hi all
Christmas is on hold here we are trying to sort out the house ready to sell but its proving to be a pain !

We did get some fantastic news on Thursday the LA are funding my dd to go to residential college in Grimsby :T she starts at the end of August.

I was having a browse at next years college holidays and realised that the october hol is 2 weeks before the school hols , so our planned trip to centre parks will only cost £349 instead of a whopping £899:eek:

ive just been to set up automatic repeat prescriptions at Lloyds chemist and they are giving away £10 in vouchers when you use them for repeats [£5 now and £5 in three months] .

Hi all. Been a while since I last posted. Just wanted to send huge hugs to Feisty. I can't imagine what you are going through. :grouphug: I'm not as good as the other ladies on here at giving amazing advice, but wanted you to know your in my thoughts.

Nanamia I'm so sorry I missed your Birthday. Hope you had an amazing day and that you're enjoying your time down under. :)

Not really done any Xmas shopping. Although I did buy a few of the Sunflowers and Venus fly traps in a can that were reduced to 39p on dotcomgiftshop. Thought they were a brill extra pressie for all the little ones I have to buy for.

I have a feeling that dh and my bff are planning something for my birthday next week. It's the big 30 and they seem to be in a lot more contact than they usually are! If they're not planning anything I think I may be slightly disappointed now and also a little suspicious! :rotfl:

Happy Birthday Nanamia  hope you've had a great day and have been spoilt!

Thanks for the compliments re the sleighs. Definitely adding a mini santa but havn't found any yet :) I was also thinking of maybe some reins and pretty-ing up the chocolate with some ribbon (but glueing the thread from the candy cane to santa may make him melt so not sure on that!

I'm still looking for one direction one way or another, dd is laying on the guilt trip by saying things such as the single is all that she wants etc! So if any eagle eyed christmaser's see it, it would be appreciated!

Doing well on the Christmas front.

Mali is sorted and have been good and not added anything more, though if I see something, I 'suggest' it to family members! Struggling with her stocking though, so far have

    Bath boats
    Pooh bear scrunch
    Toothbrush
    Cutletry
    Board book

    Would like to add

Winnie the pooh flannel but don't really want to pay more than £1 but struggling! An xmas bib! An xmas sippy cup though may struggle, socks - any other ideas, she will be 1 years old

Nia xmas, she seems to have a lot of books, but she does love reading!

The jolly xmas postman, a childrens atlas, all the madonna books she wrote for children, an andrex puppy pj case, moshi top trumps, cuddly dog though I am happy to wait nearer the time to buy her things!

Her stocking is jam packed, cant fit another thing in!

    Harmonica
    Princess sticky notes
    Toothbrush
    Moshi pez
    Minnie mouse scrunchie
    Minnie mouse flannel
    Moshi socks
    Make your own erasers
    hand warmers
    Moshi keyring
    Moshi lip balm
Hair bobbles which look like a lollypop.

Our xmas eve hampers are looking good,

Pj's - have dh's pj top, need to buy pj shorts, kids & mine
Dressing gown - for both girls
Slippers/slipper socks - for both girls (Do they make slipper socks for babies?)
    Xmas sticker book
dvd - hopefully snowman and the snow dog!
    Xmas teddies
Bedtime stories - Nia has 'the empty stocking' & Mali has 'thats not my snowman'
Mali has a puzzle from elc
    Popcorn!

My little boy got "That's not my snowman" last year (he was 19 months) and he loved it, still loves it now. Bought it from Tesco but he has a few other "That's not my" books since, all purchased from carboot sales. Also Snowman/ Father Christmas DVD last year too lol. Snowman and Snowdog we recorded on V+ box Christmas Eve and is one of his favourite things to watch before bed. That and "Winnie the Pooh" movie. Its no wonder I've been feeling Christmassy, watching Snowman repeatedly thru Summer :rotfl:
Ordered Polar Express for him via Ebay for this Christmas. He loves trains/ Thomas so I'm excited already. Got it immaculate in box under £2 inc postage. Got a Christmas board book from carboot at weekend too.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome :)
