Good news, PayPal have sided with me over that bloomin hamper fiasco (on the grabbit boards) and they have recovered over a hundred pounds. So now I don't feel so bad about the cheery-up spend that I done on the boux avenue sale

So glad you posted it on this thread. I read it on the Hamper thread, but didn't want to show favouritism by replying with lots of :j:j:j on there.

ruth honey your slow cooker meals sound yummy. I will have a look at the kindle cookbooks - thanks for the info. we got rid of our slow cooker but we have a slow oven on our range cooker which OH uses alot. we seem to have alot of milk at the moment (boys getting up too late for breakfast) so will see if I can find a recipe for rice pudding

  • hi all, so im struggling a little with organising 2012 hamper themes. I had them all planned out, then realised i would need to change a few for various reasons, so, i need a theme for mum (newly single, likes candle, reading etc, but done the pamper hamper/reading/night in over previous years) and a theme for dd who will be 6. I like to collect throughout the year, so i dont want to do a character theme as theyre so fickle at that age! shes not really very crafty, more acedemic, & even at 5 she would rather play scrabble than paint a picture! please help, need to hit the sales so need to make a final decision TODAY!!
    thanks in advance :-)

:bdaycake: wishing you a very happy birthday. Please take no notice of the anti teacher brigade. Where would we be without you all :) I would love either of my DGDs to be in your class. X

BBTHREE wooo hooo so very very glad you are back. I've missed you so much xxx

Snugglebunny my iPad will be traveling with me to Oz, I will still be here. You don't get away from me that easily. Thank you for the delightful comments, brought a tear to my eye. I'm rubbish at travelling, never really wanted to see anywhere, never overly impressed when I do go (I don't mean I'm spoilt just I like the uk and there is plenty of that I've not seen. I'm just a easily pleased and have simple tastes) I'm no more excited to go to Australia than if I was going anywhere else to see them. I just want to see them:) I really can't believe we are going :) still and according to my countdown it 11 sleeps :) xxx

BossyMoo so very sorry to hear your sad news about your Gran. You have been an inspiration to me for a long long time now from over on the flylady thread. It's great to have you on here with the tales of your two littlies too :) xxx

thank you, to be honest I had written off the money as a lesson learnt but I just kept my head down in the other thread, helped when I could and just got on with it. Sometimes on there and twitter it got quite heated and that's not me nowadays, think I've mellowed in age.

  • Happy Birthday Daisyegg hope you have a wonderful day!

Can't believe your trip to Oz has come round so quickly Nanamia. You must be so excited!

Well, I've been busy trying to rearrange my house so that all of DGS new toys fit in LOL. Between that and having family visiting every day it been a bit chaotic but very good fun. It's been so nice just chilling and not having to go to work.

My daughter and her partner told me today that they will be moving to a place of their own in late 2013. The rational side of me knows that they need their own place/ space and that it's a good thing for them all but at the same time I just want to cry...I'm smiling at them but inside I'm dreading it.I'll miss seeing DGS every single day and the thought of it is tearing me up already :(:(

Firstly it may help if you make the hampers for 2013 :D

Was there nothing in the Hamper post -

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=58123533&postcount=13

I am doing a Chocolate Hamper for the girls.
    I have chocolate-
    Shower gel
    Bubble bath
    Lip Balm
    Body Butter
    Dry Shampoo(for darkish hair)
a manicure set in a brown case.

I am getting everyone a book to read. Maybe -
    http://www.trishaashley.com/Chocolatewishes.html
for the adults. Willy Wonka for the kids.

    And some actual chocolate :D

If Chocolate isn't her thing, there is a lot of Gingerbread stuff about.

Maybe pick a colour as a theme. That way you could put loads of different things in it. Glove , scarf, candle etc.

Will have a think about your dd.

    HTH x
