Aww thank you for the happy birthdays, you are all lovely
I have woken up feeling really down for some reason and I just read something on another thread teacher bashing and, I know I am stupid, but it's made me a bit tearful! :rotfl: doesn't help that on Friday I sat in a taxi for 15 minutes while the driver, after hearing I was a teacher, ranted and raved. Why do people think it is ok to be so horrible about teachers?
Anyway, I am sitting in bed while OH makes my breakfast and I have a huge pile of presents to open and a lovely theatre trip later to look forward to - yet I am all weepy! But coming on here and seeing all you lovely people remembering me has really made me smile, thank you :j0 -

picked up a couple of bits in Boots yesterday, the Champneys handwash and lotion set was half price (I was given one of those for Christmas myself and it's gorgeous!) and got one of the desk clocks half price which is the car one, its a small tyre with spanners and stuff for the arms etc, very cute!0 -

oh no honey!! ignore the stupid ignorant people! the majority of teachers ive dealt with have been wonderful, can't speak highly enough of them! yes Ive had the odd one Ive had an issue with, but it's like anyone in life; you can't always get on with everyone, if people have an issue with a teacher they should speak to them, not take it out on the 99.9% of great ones! anyway - stick the finger in their direction and don't let anyone spoil your day :).
feeling bit teary myself and am working whilst listening to Bruno Mars as he always brings a smile to my face!, if that doesnt work Im giving up and diving into the Quality Street!xx

I was looking at the huge pile of chocolates etc that we have too, a lot of it is use by May/June so have put a few boxes away for february when we are skint and have no treats in! but we were very kindly given a huge box of Thorntons which we arent keen on and I'd hate to see them wasted, do you think it would be ok to give them to the local hospice for the nurses/visitors? they havent been opened and I wondered if they might enjoy them, what do you think?0

Hi all
I have decided to head back in here (if you will have me).
I was loving the old thread and posting regularly but then I had a close family bereavement and some other things i wont bore you with, and I didn't cope very well.
Once I hadn't posted for a while I felt i was too far behind to come back, but I have really missed you all.
Xmas was actually very nice as I wanted it to be lovely for my kids and also the closer it got the more my Xmas spirit returned. It also made me appreciate just how kind (and also generous) my hubby is, as he spoilt me rotten with lots of surprises.
OMO - Thank you for starting this thread and keeping everyone together.
Gleek - Thank you for starting the original thread oh so long ago and helping all the like minded xmas nutters (including me) find each other in the first place.
Nanamia - Your positive PMs and perseverance have brought me back to here, Thank you for your kindness from the bottom of my heart.
Hello to anyone that remembers me, and hello to all new newbies. I am now off to read the whole thread and catch up properly. XxAims for 2014
Drink a glass of water a day, Empty handbag at least once a week, Continue "not putting things off" and tackle things head on, Treasure people around me, Stay healthy and well away from hospitals, Continue to declutter/decorate house slowly and not get stressed because I can't do everything at once.0 -
Fitbit question, for when I have it up and running tomorrow. Can it sync with more than one device ie I have a mac laptop, iPad and iPhone ( I know very un-mse ). Will I be able to access my profile on say my phone when out but update profile on laptop? I'm confusing myself here!!!!! What I'm trying to ask is can the profile be accessed like say a Faceb00k profile on different devices.
Now if anyone can understand this please help yourself to. Some chocolate as a reward!0 -

Great idea. Are they Christmassy ? Do you know anyone with a Jan/Feb birthday, that you could give them to ? Just trying to cover all options. I would hate for you to give them away, then have to buy a gift in a few weeks.:)Hi all

hope you have a lovely day dont let others spoil it . teachers do a wonderful job and can have a wonderful influence over children encouraging them in ways parents are unable to. my daughter has had some really good teachers who have been so full of enthusiasm and positivity and work so hard at the end of a school day to prepare for future lessons or for after school activities to enhance a childs experience.
happy birthday to you enioy every minute you deserve it.You can if you think you can .0
