I posted this in another Christmas thread, hope it's Ok to post here too?

Popped into Sainsb^rys earlier & tucked away in a corner on one of those twirly~whirly jewellery stands, was Christmas accessories for sale so I picked up a candy cane key ring that was originally £4 for £1 to pop into my Christmas box. There were other items there, mostly brooches (a cute Christmas pudding one) earings ect... I resisted! but this might be helpful to someone else

I'm fine thank you. Not been up to much except our not so joyful trip to London.
Haven't been on her much as haven't had a lot to say. Ds starts his training with British Rail on Monday. I took him up there on Wednesday. It's at the railway museum. Very nice place but in the middle of nowhere. He will have to get the 7.15 train just to get there by 8.30. I will post a link so you can see some of the trains there. All old steam trains etc.

Link to some pics of it :D

Housing mucked my income and I only just ( today) got last months HB. Next months goes in on Tuesday. Fortunately I had the extra in my savings account.

Top secret ( so don't tell anyone ) :rotfl: my dad has told he has bought a caravan on a local site. He was going to get one in Suffolk but decided to get one here so we could use the facilities. He is going to use it most weekends as he said he is going a bit crazing being stuck at home all he time. He had a stroke about 10 years ago and doesn't live within walking distance of anywhere. So he is hoping that while at he van he will walk more.
But it is top secret as he doesn't want all my cousins thinking they can use it. So don't tell anyone. :D

Aww Linky I really really hope that Master Linky copes well with his commute and enjoys his job. Wow what a huge step he's taking :) I bet you going through a blooming rollercoaster of emotions. I hope one of them is great pride :) xxx

Freespirit oh yes my GUAG has returned, as DD likes to say "It's the way you roll" I am queen of the very last minute. Unfortunately today's to-do-list was not done due to DH not being up to it. Tomorrow I will shove a rocket up his bum, he can rest on Thursday on the plane ha :) xxx

    Thanks for the welcome :xmassmile

This is probably the right spot for me as I'm a little bit fanatical about Christmas (Oh, had you guessed already?! :rotfl:)

Last week I had my Christmas shower curtain arrive from China. Inspired by how the Americans decorate every room in their house but not wanting to part with the £30/£40 +P&P it would have cost to have ordered from the US for a matching bathroom set, I searched & managed to get, just the curtain, for around £11 free P&P from China. It arrived last week & I'm so pleased I took the gamble having never ordered from there before. It's a quality curtain with wreaths, holly & Ivy in reds, greens & golds all over it. I can't wait to put it up. It should be a great talking point as I don't know anyone else with one!
I'm going to accessorize with Christmas red towels, flannels, shampoos, soaps & mats.
A lot of these ideas came from watching youtube videos of american 'holiday' house tours. If you haven't watched them already.. YOU MUST!... but you'll lose hrs :D
  • I think you are now going to have to share where you got your shower curtain from Mrs Christmas as I fear you may have inspired a whole load of Christmas obsessed MSErs! (Well me anyway!)

    Pretty please...
  • OOOhhh just found a lovely website. Doesn't appear to be the cheapest (but some things are quite reasonable) but if nothing else there is some great pieces that might offer inspiration to the crafty amongst us.
