Got hold of the giant felt stockings from tescos £8 something reduced to 80p something ... going to use them as santa sacks this year to put under the tree. That way it will look like they have more LOL

My elf came.. or so i thought, they had sent me the christopher one again, after exchanging emails they have said i can keep that one and are sending me the right one too! so i can use it as a xmas gift for my new niece or nephew :)

Feeling really xmassy today, shouldn't really as we're preparing summer trips etc lol seems i've got a new challenge, my step brother has got into a bit of bother with his grand wedding plans. (lack of money) so needs help getting out of contracts etc and finding cheaper replacements.. waiting on a list/his budget etc to see what actually needs doing.. if only they let me help from the start sigh.

  • CBA made me laugh! Trust, me I suffer from major bouts of CBAitus at times!! I came across this sign and thought we should all buy one:

Nanamia how is your husband doing?

OMO that accident sounded quite scary. I'm a bit of a worrier about these things when I go out, I know that I drive really sensibly but you just don't know what other people are going to do! Glad to hear everyone was ok. I'm liking the sound of the new thread name! :D Good luck with the dress altering, let us know how you get on.

Happy belated birthday Ruth_honey! Your day sounded fabulous! What a good idea.:)

Feisty you have to do what is right for your and your DH, after all it's your lives and not theirs. Sorry to hear he's still having troubles, I do hoep it all starts to clear up soon.

missgigglewick I hope your DD feels better soon. Good work with the elves! What a pain with your brother, I do remember you saying that you would be able to do it for hm cheaper! :o

mrsinvisible hope you're having a wonderful time!

Well I found out yesterday that i'm now not being made redundant at the end of this month, they would like me to stay for another year so i'll eventually be made redundant in June 2014. It's working in a different department but they're really nice, and i'm happy that I have work for antoher year and don't have to go elsewhere just yet. Although come July it will be a very different building as lots of people are going at the end of this month. It's going to be tough to start with as i'll miss a lot of people, but hopefully i'll adjust after time.
  • Well, been busy so not been on. Have done a bit more shopping, got a mug for my mum from Vistaprint with an awful photo of my godson, with the comment But you still love me! He will hate it, but for a free mug, well p&p only, I am happy. Was cheeky as I have not registered with Vistaprint so used both work and home email address, so got another two of my best friends littlies, and a mouse mat, saved about £30 on this order, so was happy.

Also went mad on the free sample site, again using both addresses, so will be getting lots of little bits coming through which can be put away for end of year.

    Other than that, not much!

The dress didn't get very far. There is so much material it is taking for ever to measure it out.

I went Christmas shopping today, on one of the hottest days yet. :rotfl:
I got loads of shower gels and body sprays for the kids stockings in the 99p shop. I must have looked like I have a problem with 10 of each in my basket. I also got dd some earphones and eyelash holders in HB.
So no real presents bought but the stockings are nearly done.(well dds is)
They are really bathroom based this year as it is getting harder as they get older. But they both like getting smelly bits and it saves me buying them through the first part of the year.

I also got some chocolate face packs for the choc hampers. Although nobody is getting them as I got all the girls Ted Baker vanity cases in the boots 75% off sale. :o
I will probably make them smaller than I had planned and dd can give them as gifts.
    They have-
    A choc face pack - 50p
    A choc shower gel - £1.25
    A choc body butter - £1
    A choc lip balm - £1
    A choc dry shampoo - 66p
    A choc mug - £1
With a bar of real chocolate I think they will be fine.

Omo - I'm so jealous of your chocolate hamper items. Those are the things and prices I wanted :( we don't have a HB near us....

I got a few bits in the 99p shop and pound land. The dry shampoo was from superdrug on one of their offers. Savers also have some good bits in. xx
