    Xmas Saver!
Have just booked a table at The Hard Rock Cafe for before the show. I have done a beat the queue ticket with a Golden meal. It cost £37 for the pair of us and we don't have to queue to get in. :)
It is Founders day on the Friday ( they have been open 42 years) and all the staff will be dressed in 1970's clothes. :D

Ds went to an induction day today to work on the railway. The course should cost £1000, but he is getting it paid for. It is all part of the Governments promise to get disabled people back into work. Hopefully he will start the course in a couple of weeks. I was so nervous all day for him, but he said it was ok. He will need to get 2 trains to get to the proper site, so we may need to do a trial run. I just hope he copes ok.

Oh Jenny, what has OCC letter said?

Nana, just to drive your husband mad I have review my konad stamp set as it came today - have a peek, I'm sure you'll be tempted ;)

Need some advice from the nail experts! I have split and frayed cuticles and little tags of skin around my nails (making it sound much grosser than it is lol) do you have any tips?

Cuticle oil! Twice a day, every day! You might also want to buy a cuticle remover cream or lotion, and every other day apply, push back cuticles to encourage healthy re-growth. If I was closer hun i would come & sort them out for you! If you use the oil religously you should see improvement within 3-4 days. HTH xx

Feisty I'm sure you will get back on the vegan regime when you are both feeling up to it :) I had a little giggle to myself with you knowing what we'd say if you were being too hard on yourself :) Please give yourself time, things will sort themselves out- they always do. I have peeped at your fabulous present. Wow, I love it. Not sure if I fully understand how to do it- cos I'm a dumbo! Do you sort of 'screen print' onto the stamp? Your first attempts looked fab :) you will have hours of fun with that. xxx
Mrsinvisible I'm getting excited for you, can't wait to hear all about your trip :) How is DGS today, is he heeling well? How is your packing going? Lists, lists and more lists :) The story I'm reading is called Hostile Witness by Rebecca Forester it's ok up to now xxx
Snugglebunny DH and I have a special place like that too :) Probably the only place on the planet wher I feel totally relaxed and untouchable :) Think we all need one xxx
I did enjoy the film Princess Tho I'm quite sure the reviews aren't going to be fab! It was a lovely treat, spent time with my very darling SiL :) and laughed, predictable, not much of a story, but great cast- escapism for an hour and a half :) Your poor DH, hope he has sorted out his glasses and is feeling ok. What a palaver at work, I mean the not knowing what's happening and being strung along! I really hope it all works out in the end :) xxx
You are sailing along Freespirit doing so well with sorting yourself out for Christmas :) go girl :) and 39 cards sold that's brilliant. xxx
I'm off to peep at the site you recommended Gettingtherequickly thank you- I'm not buying yet just getting some ideas :) xxx
Hiya Chrissy glad you are finally in your bungalow :) woo hoo but hurting your poor back ouch :( Blow your blooming manager your health is far more important. Are you getting used to living in a bungalow ? I grew up in one and blame that for why I'm not very good on stairs! Glad to see you on here tho :) Happy new home hope DD loves it xxx
Trendy you are doing so well, I truly hope you realise what huge steps you've made this week. I still have days where I can't manage without a nap, for me for some reason a daytime sleep feels safer! But then I am a loon :) Little tip get DH to 'put' letters away safe till you need them, don't leave stuff lying around, concentrating on what you can't do will pull you right down again. You've your dr, union, family etc for support lean on them :) xxx

DD did her exam waxings on me yesterday! The things we Mums do for our children. I may have mentioned before I am one of life's very lazy creatures, low maintance due to the fact I can't be bothered with make up grooming etc, hate the hairdresser etc etc will was I in for an almighty shock. DD went through the session very professionally filling out the required forms etc, got me to lie down, nice and relaxed, started on my legs ok not painful- not pleasant but not bad. We laughed and giggled as she went about her job. I was going to have a break before she started my bikini wax, but was already lay down (remember I am lazy) so asked her just to carry on. Ouch ouch ouch Oooh that was sore. She couldn't believe it, said it'd never happen before when she'd done it etc, tutor said she'd followed procedure to the letter but blooming hek. Course I can't see it can I , so she offered to show me "no thank you" anyway that ordeal over - break for coffee and then the underarms, happily they were a breeze after what had already happened :) She was on the phone almost constantly apologising, worrying etc but looked worse than it is apparently. Bless her she was round first thing this morning to check my war wounds ha poor thing I think she's traumatised. Luckily she got a distinction so it was all worth it :) xxx

Bless - really pleased your dd did well! How brave of you - I cant do my own bikini line it reeeeally smarts! Ive been waxing myself & friends since I first qualified in 2002, and since setting up business it is my most popular treatment! However, I still have the occassional "oops", wax sticks to skin, doesnt remove all hair, or the client just finds it really really painful! Your dd will be fantastic, she sounds so passionate about it, and so caring, and they are (in my honest opinion) the most important qualities of a beauty therapist xx

My monthly amazon purchase came today (I think dh will ban me from there soon lol) and the biggest bargain was the lego friends horse & trailer set rrp £35.99 which I got for just £11.00!!
The bottom of my wardrobe is actually starting to look rather full now - and there was me worrying we would have to miss christmas due to me earning so little, oh I do so love being a bargain hunter!!
It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.

What a lovely bunch you all are. Thanks for the comments about my DD, sadly Pinknfluffy she was passionate about doing well etc but has decided beauty therapy isn't for her! I think she just loves being a student to be honest- the beauty therapy course the latest, degree from Liverpool uni few years ago just likes the discount at New Look :) Im hoping she finds something she loves eventually tho :) xxx
Trendy that trip sounds amazing, how lovely of your OH. Bless him. It will get better as Freespirit says, you are loved by so many people they will keep you afloat if you'll let them help :) xxx

Urgh I've just spent ages trying to get a picture posted from Photobucket, grrr given up!

Anyway - I bought some Christmas tins from HB in January - they measure around 3x6 inches, 3 inches deep. I'd like to put something in them to sell at my Christmas fair, but mind has drawn a blank?!?! Anything really apart from home baked goods (my mum does them on her stall) and snowman soup, as I already do a few types of that.

I'd appreciate if anybody has any bright ideas - I know you ladies are the ones to solve my problem!!
