Hi there lovelies another lovely day in the Nanamia household :) I'm such a lucky girl. Breakfast fun this morning with BOTH Grandaughters it was such fun. We had DGD2 for a sleep over and DS face timed first thing this morning so we had breakfast whilst chatting, DGD1 in Oz actually got herself some cereal and joined in :) Both girls bringing tears to my eyes with renditions of "I miss you" and "i love you" but mostly good fun :) I'm delighted that they both interacted so well :) They've been in Oz now 9 months and DGD2 is 29months old I was dreading them not knowing each other but needn't have worried :)
Who knows what my friend and her DP were thinking! Argh but today all seems well, I do feel a bit like piggy in the middle.
Had a trip to wilkinsons today and HB and whipped in the card factory. Picked up a pint size mug for my DS saying "worlds greatest son" cheesy I know but he is my boy :) some banners for his 30th and a few tacky must have bits- he's gonna love me! Couldn't resist superdrug or rather the BarryM 3 for 2 got a gorgeous blue, purple and a gold to add to my collection - who said I was obsessed? I'm jealous Feisty but you so do deserve a treat:) You must post pictures when you have chance to try it- please. Thanks for the purdy tip off too- I'm so out of touch ha ha
I must apologise Christina for getting your name wrong- sorry that's what happens when I am on my phone. But I'm loving the ideas people are coming up with.
Trendy you are putting on such a brave face- well done you, don't let the bu***rs get you down :) I'm thinking tomorrow and the next round of phone calls is gonna be hard for you but we will be here, to chat, listen, laugh and even cry or pick up the stitches :) stick with us we will virtually carry you through xxx
Mrsinvisible I'm totally low maintenance too, no make up etc although I do use perfume and usually have a lip balm for the plane! If that counts :) I did a similar thing clothing wise last time think I will stick with it again, legging and a blouse and took a fresh set in my hand luggage and changed before landing. First fight to Doha is daytime but Doha to Perth is overnight not that we'll sleep with excitement. I'm also a bit flummoxed as to what to pack DS says the mornings and evening are chilly now so probably be much the same as here clothes. At least I will be more sociable this time if I'm not over heated. It is or will be winter in Australia.
Freespirit you needn't be embarrassed about reading that particular trilogy, I think I'm more of the odd one out for not reading it. I used to be the same having to finish a book even if I'm not enjoying it or struggling with it, I've started so I'll finish but now I just can't be bothered and give up. I've read some of Alex McCall off to see if there are any really cheap(or free) for the kindle app. I'm gonna try and be a fly lady this week so if you see me slacking give me a much needed kick up th b*m pleasexxx
Trendy is there any particular order to read the Agatha Raisin books, I've just downloaded Quiche of death" cos it was 89p will I be ok with that? xxx
Snugglebunny you've defo found a like minded buddy in our Disney expert Trendy haven't you :) go girls xxx
Linky even when you are feeling unlinked you are still our Linky just a bit bogged down. Robbie will bring a smile to your face- and getting to grips with your new toy. Has DS not asked for it back yet? Ha ha xxx

I was up at 6.30am and so far no ill effects ;)

I have mixed feelings about my placement ending in 12 weeks - I hate the early starts, but I love finishing at 1pm, not having to worry about my next short term placement, getting to know the team and having a huge boost to my mortgage income calculations. In September I am going to have to return to the dreaded Dental nursing :( It is a job I really despise and there will be days I will be expected to work all day (to make up for days that I couldn't get any work) and I'm already dreading it. I shall be quitting nursing (but keeping my temping agency) after next years move, so just trying to focus on that. In the mean time I'm going to do everything possible to promote the other business in the hope I can boost my earnings with that when September comes. Who knows, I may get some karma and be asked to stay on again ;) But after all the time off I've just had to have, I'm not so sure :(

Morning everyone, countdown begins, 7 sleeps to go! must make final list, and pin it on kitchen wall board. Everyone has a section, and I add on any tasks I need them to do but my section is subdivided into to do, to take, to remember, to get, to say, etc. consequently it reads like a bad novel and I 'stop reading'.
DGS has not gone to school, he is sore and bruised, but it is more the scabby face he is embarrassed about.
The sun has vanished, so I may be able to start packing and tidying up as I go, or at least hiding the mess in a cupboard or three.
I haven't read any of the shades of grey either, not my sort of book, but I need to put something on the kindle to keep me going. Detectives, thrillers, murder, crime, humour, easy to please, me, but they have to be free/cheap.
got to put the washing out, back soon, xx

Hi all, I have had a busy few days so haven't been able to post, but I have managed to catch up this time and have a few comments to make so sorry in advance for the long post!
PRINCESSKITTY hello sorry you have been having a stressful time, but glad you are beginning to feel a bit better now
Thank you :) Great news about your son potentially coming home, you must be very excited! I can't see the pics you posted as I am at work but will make sure I check them out at home. I am the same as you, I am currently reading the 2nd book in the Fifty Shades trilogy. I wouldn't have made the effort to read them but a friend lent them to be and I kind of felt obliged! I agree, they're not amazing but I have come too far not to finish them off now! :p

Princess we've missed you. You sound much happier now :) Hope you last few days go smoothly xxx
Thank you! :) It is a shame you won't be here for your friends results, but i'm sure she has lots of love and support around her (providing that DP of hers behaves!) and she knows you will be on the end of a phone or email for her even if you are on the other side of the world. You don't always have to be here in peson, she knows how much you care by how much time you devote to her. x

Feisty - so sorry to hear OH has been in pain and is being stubborn! He will come round in his own time, you are being a superstar.

dropsofjupiter thanks for the M&S link, I tried it at the weekend but was too late :(

Nic happy bleated birthday and hope you had a fantastic night out!

mrsinvisible sorry to hear about daughters asthma and DGS's accident. I hope he's doing better now! Like Feisty said my mum has seasonal asthma so it could be that. You must be so excited for your trip in 7 days! :T

OMO sorry to hear your mum is playing up again, it's so frustrating isn't it? I'm sure you have learnt to cope with it now though. Also sorry to hear about your uncle, this news is never good but very sad he will miss his granddaughters wedding.

Hello viki120604 and ChristinaF . viki120604 I think trendyjenny came up with some fab ideas so hope you're sorted now. ChristinaF I don't have any ideas at the moment, but I see you have already had some help. Will let you know if I think of anything!

snugglebunny thanks for more tips on the American food. I really love British food, but every so often I hanker for a big American plate of food! It was my DH's birthday a couple of weeks ago and he wanted corned beef hash and eggs for his special breakfast that he had whilst we were on honeymoon, so I whipped us up a plate of that and loved it! I always remember it being an evening meal when I was growing:rotfl: up! So sorry you're struggling with your neighbours being gone, I hope things get easier for you soon.

Trendyjenny good effort with the hats! Keep up the good work!

I'm a little bit excited as I won two tickets to see Noel Cowards play 'Private Lives' at a theatre on Shaftebury Avenue. I go through phases of comping where i'll enter loads for a few days - then I don't do it for months! I had a phase of entering loads a couple of weeks ago so I was happy I won this. Just wanted to share. :)

Contemplating having dopey tattoo on ankle but not overcome thought of needle yet lol x

am so sad my DD is nearly 16 so her pink/Disney room has been repainted! luckily at least is tropical blues with tropical beach poster art etc so at least it isnt black! :rotfl:

oh we are SO with you on the sayings! In our house, whenever somebody wants something (from the same film/character) 'He shall be mine and I will call him Squishy, and he shall be my squishy ... MY squishy!' and 'Mine, miiiine, miiiine' - my DD bought a t shirt in the Disney Store in LA last year with the seagulls and 'mine, miiiine, mine' underneath :D ... i SO wanted one! Finding Nemo is probably our favourite but love Monsters Inc and my personal favourite - Lilo and Stitch :D we met a lady at Disney last time with little Stitch tattoo on her shoulder, looked very cute!
