Freespirit may I ask what you are reading? I've been trying to stock up on the iPad ready for our hols but found a new to me author and can't put her stories down, I've read three in a week (usually with my concentration problems I struggle but this week I'm on a roll) There are a few more on amazon but I can't trust myself ha ha. I've just downloaded a thriller, see how I go with that! You do sound as tho you've had a lovely day :) I've spent the day with afore mentioned friend. Oh what a todo :( Her DP tho sounds dreadful after last night revelations to me is a lovely guy. He has been amazingly supportive and kept everything together and ticking over whilst she's been poorly, she has shut him out and even tho she is my friend I'd have found her very difficult to live with recently. I've been on a peace keeping mission! Emotions are running high as you can imagine :( She says she doesn't love him- I want to bash their heads together. Anyway today was her mums anniversary so a sad day to begin with, I've left them talking at last so the rest is up to them. xxx
Pinknfluffy what is purdy? Is it the art of nail art? I'm old you know and easily confused. Now the Konad varnishes and sets wow I can understand the attraction. Feisty has started something and I can just tell my DH is not gonna like it :)

Well it was a very hectic day in the Nanamia household- peace keeping missions followed by DGDs sleepover bless her she never fails to amaze and amuse me :) Oooh the delights of being a Nan are wonderful I'm so lucky to have two beautiful Grandaughters :) xxx

Mrsinvisible I actually lay awake last night wondering if I'd typed wise owl or wise old owl ha ha. The rumblings of a tortured mind! You are always full of wisdom from what we've seen :) sometimes family are tooooo close to see :) Are you packing yet? Do you have lists? Have you decided what you are travelling in? Can you see I'm picking your brain? xxx

Trendy who'd have thought you'd be our resident Disney expert :) Go girl you are on a roll :) Bless you putting so much thought into helping other people with all you are going through. I'm glad you've had friends around you, they will be your rocks and guide you through xxx

Moneysavingmumofone I really really really do miss you :( where are you? I may have to think about smoke signals :) xxx

Thank you for the birthday wishes. I've had a lovely weekend so far.
Had a great night out on Friday with the girls, then our meal last night was gorgeous.
Taking DD to a Highland games today for her to compete in the highland dancing. Hopefully this nice sunny weather will continue x

morning, sunny again, yippee, out in the garden again, lovely.
Trendy, great ideas, will use some of them later this year when I go on mini-hol with DGS, not, alas, to Disneyland, maybe next year. What a fabby Christmas present, Vic.
Nanamia, yes, I have lists, no I haven't packed, and as for what I am wearing, well, as it is a night flight I thought some lightweight cotton trousers and a long cotton overshirt, then in carry-on I will have tidy jeans and T shirt to change into as it will be afternoon when I arrive in Beijing. Fortunately I am a low maintenance type, so I don't need make-up, lotions, potions and hair things. Just soap shampoo and hairbrush.
DGS is looking less mauled, just scabby, so he may be persuaded to go outside today.

    Hi everyone,
Been reading just not posting. We've had such a lovely few days here, np been out for a long walk with DH, DD, SD, SGS & our dog yesterday. Ended up at a nice farm shop/dairy place with a little play area, we just sat on the grass soaking up the sunshine whilst the kids were playing. It was so nice and relaxing. Love days like that.
Today we went to a carboot and came back with lots of goodies :-D Even managed to buy a Christmas present!!
Gotta start arranging DH's birthday....I was going to take him to Brighton but have changed my mind. We're going to Oxford for a day. However, can I ask for some advice: places to go with an 8yr old in rain and/or shine? :-)
I've booked lunch at Jamie Oliver's place but apart from that I've no idea what to do. Thanks.
Hope everyone else had a nice & relaxing day.
