Trendy baby steps my lovely, I'm with Freespirit my DD has 'been' me on the phone more times than I can remember. Have you a friend that could do that for you? Or email and get somebody to help write that then nobody is any the wiser. What are you too like Snugglebunny and yourself, Disney experts :) you make me chuckle. Little bit scared to say so shall whisper Disney does nothing for me unfortunately I'm not a fan of cartoons etc.
Princess are you now a lady of leisure? Well done on your win :) hope you enjoy it. DH is the comped in our house and I must say we've had some brilliant wins but it's been a little quiet at the mo.
Linky so sorry to hear about your uncle. Bless his grandaughter :( she must be very emotional. You can do links on the iPad it's just different. Persevere my dear :) xxx
Good to see you Springdreams don't be trying to slip back into lurkdome! I've spotted you now :) You are doing so well on the swagbucks go girl :) xxx
Pinknfluffy I have had a very similar conversation over the weekend with BFF. What to do with card making equipment? - it takes over every available space and I haven't (neither has she) done any for aggeesss :( I really want to scrap book though so getting rid isn't really an option. I have had a candle making phase too- I used an old pan, outside on a camping stove and bought wicks and moulds from Fred Aldous. Most of my wax came from the local Catholic Church who saved it for me :) If you don't ask etc xxx
Freespirit DD have no plans yet to visit DS, and she certainly isn't coming with us! Much as I love them both dearly together in the same house at the same time for longer than two/three hours they revert back to their teenage years and fight like cat and dog:( I would like to take DGD2 over with us but she's a bit little at the moment. The other thing is that they were never very good at sharing our attention (that's why Nanas have two knees) so not really sure how it'd turn out. Think DD is hoping that DDiL will persuade DS to come back for a holiday - I can dream :) My Nana bless her, she was an amazing lady used to have us for sleepovers one at a time and make you feel really special - I didn't really understand why until recently :)
In other news, got some very cute onesies for both girls in Asda today, DDiL has asked us to bring a few bits over and for pjs thought DGD would love those. DGD2 may have to be prized out of hers in the morning for playgroup she loves it :) Took dress back to wallis, after the fuss I made buying it. Went for a coffee with poorly friend, change of scenery etc think it did her good. Popped in to see DSiL we are off to the cinema on Wednesday (orange Wednesday) to see the big wedding- she already drooling about the hotdogs. Ha. I will just make sure I've had my meal first so I can resist temptation. Night night xxx

My first morning back was lovely - I really don't want to leave. Everyone was so sweet and considerate about DH, such a fab team! I would have the chance to be taken on as a permenant team member, but because it would be a huge drop in hourly rate (at least £5 less an hour) and the hours are only part time I couldn't afford it. I had a friend point out that it would be worth the happiness - I quickly pointed out that £700 a month wouldn't cover my mortgage and council tax ;) Friends and family presume that because I charge a hefty locum rate, I must be minted. What they don't understand is that more than 50% of the working hours that go into my business I don't get paid for - I'm actually scraping just below minimum wage - but I'm much happier as self employed than I ever was as an employee :)

Nana sadly not back on the vegan wagon :( Hopefully within the next few weeks DH will be back to eating properly - He has no appetite so vegan food really wasn't doing it for him :( Have had to tempt him with good comfort food - sadly very calorific!

Good morning everyone, OMO sorry for your loss, but pleased you still have something nice going on too.
Trendy, understand totally, I hate phones, I like to see the whites of the eyes of the person Im talking to, but I will pretend to be anyone who wants calls made.. just not my own, even ringing Drs for a repeat prescription is an ordeal in my head until its done.
Christina, my DIL is Canadian, but the only thing she misses is maple syrup.
On the sayings front, ours is 'i'm gonna lurve it, ang hurg it and call it 'george' ' Daffy Duck,( covers anything from a gift to a grudge.) Also (from Shrek) 'I'm a donkey on the edge, I've got a dragon, and I ain't afraid to use it' when stress strikes.
I missed the Christmas film, and I missed the M&S offer, can't make candles, or cards, I used to do embroidery and counted cross stitch, crochet knitting and lace tatting, anything with a pattern to follow, but no talent for owt that needs original thought.
6 sleeps, started getting clothes together yesterday and went through lists of bring outs from DIL and will try to complete them today.

morning all, OMO Im so sorry for your loss honey :-( xxx

That's ok nanamia! you dont need to apologise, Disney isnt for eveyone  when we were gong through some really difficult times we've been to Disney and you kind of leave your problems on the lane, its a wonderful suspension of disbelief and I can always be happy there no matter whats happening  hubby and kids love it, such a truly magical place and watching the films brings that back for me, but truly Im a big kid!!

'I'm watching you Wizcowski, allllway watchin' a la Roz is another on Jenny, my DD does a brilliant impression!

Glad you got some bits for your hamper Christina

OMO so sorry to hear about your uncle, what a sad time. Enjoy the dinner and a show - how exciting! Let us know how it is, i'd like to see it too. Yes do take your own food, we take our own food everywhere! Last weekend we went to a b&b in Snowdonia for the weekend and took some rolls and a tin of spam (things that don't need a fridge)to make some lunch! :rotfl:Then we only had to buy dinner.

Freespirit I know what you mean, she's writing from an American point of view so some of the words to us are a bit weird! I'm like you, i'm enjoying the story but it's a bit long winded, there doesn't always need to be so many words!

Nanamia no sadly i'm not a lady of leisure yet, I was due to be leaving at the end of June but they have identified a couple of roles (doing what i'm doing) that need filling past June, so I will find out in the next couple of weeks whether I get one of them or not. It would be good if I can stay as long as possible. Have fun at the cinema, i've seen lots of trailers for that film and it looks really good, i'd like to go and see it. We take our own food there too - we buy a bag of chocs from the supermarket when they're on offer (usually £1) and I buy a massive bag of popcorn kernals and pop them myself at home, it makes loads!! I can't bear to pay the extortionate prices at the cinema for food. We once calculated that the £2.50 worth of food we took would have cost us £11 at the cinema!!

On the Disney front my mum bought me most of the films on video when I was in my early teens, I loved them and have to admit i'd like to watch them all again now to see if they are as good! Will have to keep an eye out for some dvds.

Well poor hubby played squash with a work colleague yesterday lunchtime and ended up with the squash ball in his eye! So he now looks like he's been in the ring with Mike Tyson! He was very lucky though as he was wearing glasses and not only did the glass not shatter in his eye, but it would seem they saved him a bit of damage and took the full impact of the ball. On the downside they are broken so he now can't see anything and can't wear contact lenses! He's off to the opticians this afternoon so hopefully they will sort him out as soon as possible.
