CAITLYN aah bless that little boy what a sweetie, ha that made me laugh, oh you will love it, its such a chilled and relaxing city and alcatraz is fantastic, thanks for the cookie recipe that is perfect for what FEISTY wanted, i am going to make it and freeze then freshly bake when they are needed, isnt that woman a hoot i was giggling as i read down the instructions. I am so glad your mum is fine and doesnt need any treatment, that carer sounds well dodgy and untrustworthy

Well, then. After two nocturnal wanderings from my amazing, wonderful, why-won't-she-let-me-sleep daughter, I'm up. I've just gone through my spreadsheet and:

    Birthdays
All birthdays but one are dealt with. My dad is still quite seriously ill and his birthday is in October so I don't plan on making his gift just yet.

I also need something for DD to give DH for his birthday but I think that might be a special breakfast at the hotel we'll be at.

    Fathers Day
I have gift ideas for DH and Dad. Haven't made them yet though. There's time...

    Christmas
All the uncomplicated gifts that don't need loads of storage and are bought rather than made are done. I still need to make:

Gifts for DH (flavoured toothpicks and animal head magnets)
Gifts for Dad (HM chutney basket, etched glass, car air fresheners)
Gifts for Brother (car air fresheners)
Gifts for DD (making her a set of story dice plus a set of Get Up And Move dice, and a dress up box, which is in progress and going well. I just picked up a storage basket for it, so next week sometime I will start to fill it and see how much space is left)
Gift for Mum (animal back end magnets, will be a gift from DH to her).

I also need to: buy DH's bigger gift, sort out a magnetic board for his office, and a gift from him to my Dad.

So really quite organised but a way to go yet. :)

Just reading posts at the moment, but here in the back ground.
Have lots of not so nice things happening but lovely to read all your news.
Have dipped into Christmas buys for family Birthdays. One niece had a jewellery box from Matalalna which she loves as its so grown up! Have another 2 nieces Birthdays next month, but already bought their bday and Christmas presses in the Boots Jan sale. So that all helps.

Finally...HUGE Congratulations to PoppyGirl! Have a very happy time planning your wedding! What are you ideas/plans so far? Do share if things get crafty, there's so much expertise on here. (Not me I might add!) You could also rely on some of our resident personal shoppers for help hunting things out online!

Thank you, yes I plan to get very crafty, and look forward to sharing it all with you, no doubt I will be using the expertise and shopping skills that the nice people in this thread have, we may have to have a wee breakaway thread "The Christmas nutters do a wedding!"

Big blocks spraypainted a nice colour with words painted on them. My sneaky plan is to steal ideas from the ones you can buy :)

Have already started on DS Xmas pressies, though ive been a bit slack when it comes to every one else. Hoping to join on the crafting bandwagon and make some homemade gifts this year as well. Will be taking inspiration from you all!
