Freespirit DSiL has had mental health problems for 12 years and has been that doped and unresponsive for around ten of those years ( not totally but very hard to have a conversation with, showed very little interest in anything etc) anyway during her recent mammoth hospital stay her mental health meds were stopped, reviewed and new plans were draw and she is the DSiL I know and love again
woo hoo
I'm a bit scared to say it Freespirit but I'm finding slimming world really quite easy ! But I do this get obsessed for a while then drop itIm trying to look it as a lifestyle change rather than a diet but you know what I'm like it won't last!
Julie noway, my boy is in Perth too! What a small world. I'm in south Manchester not far from the airportI don't do 'groups' but know one of my neighbours was complaining about the lack of local craft groups. Is 67 your birth year? I'm 1964 so quite a blooming lot in common
Im really finding missing my DS, DDiL and VVVDGD hard very hard, I'm off in 73 days tho. It's just toooo far away:(
You lot are whisking away ahead of me on the Christmas front- must get head in gear and stop feeling sorry for myself! Night night xxxThe secret of Christmas

My baking went well thank you
2 apple pies, 1 lemon drizzle and a batch of brownies - the kitchen still looks like a icing sugar bomb has gone off and I have a horrid feeling that despite him being off, I will come home to find the cleaning still isn't done and he has been in front of the xbox all day
Not like I can really demand he cleans up the kitchen as I made the mess (although he did scoff a gazillion cakes).
I may have spent £150 on a new phone again - the old one kept crashing and couldn't keep up with all the business related things I needed it for. Have bit the bullet and got an old iphone - so far it has coped very well with all the things I need it to doTechnically it is a business expense, but as we are applying for a new mortgage next year, I won't be claiming the money back
I managed to buy the fame for my labyrinth cut, have designed (well the nifty computer software designed) the actual print, but I am yet to figure out the technical details for printing it in a good resolution - this is all quite new to me, so fingers crossed!
Hope everyone has a good Monday[/COLOR]2024 Challenges

Morning all
nanamania morning wow yes it is my birth year, lots in common. I must admit I'm not really a group person either but I'm turning into a bot of a hermit and thought it would do me good. Plus I'm really blooming struggling with crochet, I might end up trying a class. It's soo hard isn't it. We were there at Christmas when they got married which was lovely. I fear it's going to be a couple of years though now given our current financial situation:(
Well done on the slimming world, have tried before but I struggle. I lost two stone last year but still need to get about another one and half off, not motivated at the moment. I have a problem with my leg so can't walk or run which really helps me.
That reminds me at the hospital today so best get a wriggle on, have a good day xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

morning, better day, a new week to play with! Got no special plans, but it is dds birthday on Friday, will have to mark it somehow. Decluttered half a wardrobe yesterday so I'm feeling a bit smug, I'm also feeling bewildered, how could half a wardrobe hold so much crud! how could I have acquired so much unwearable unlikeable unusable tat and how/who can I offload it?
It is still too cold to work in the garden, and that is where the effort is needed, so I suppose I will have to brave it for half hour bursts at least.
I love the papercuts, and feel mildly envious of everyones skills in crafting, homemaking and crafting. I can knit, sew, embroider and cross stitch, have crocheted and tatted lace but arthritic fingers now make it difficult and painful, so do only little projects.
Visiting dsil this afternoon to see her and her dgs, who is 3 and utterly delightful. Have a lovely day all xxx0 -

We are ebaying, boot sale and I'm going to try selling some things on the lush forum. But on a side note lovelies if you want any N Gauge train bits or lush, or there's a mixer, steamer and breadmaker also going you let me know:rotfl::rotfl:
We are trying to declutter ready for when Harper (the new puppy who we might not have to wait 5 months for) arrives and to raise some petrol money to go collect him, we have a car that guzzles and naturally all three of us want to go get him which rules out the idea of taking the much cheaper diesel van but oh well, he'll be cute and worth it! If you want to see a picture I do have a link shout if you want to see.
so with the sunshine yesterday we headed garden-wards because the grass needed cutting but also to see where the garden needs puppy proofing Dad now has a list that's a page long and no work for the next couple of weeks guess where you'll find him weather permitting :rotfl:
We listed 20 items on ebay yesterday there is still more to do, the problem is I find ebayers can be really picky and abit of a nuisance so I don't want to do it all at once but this morning I'm having a rethink and it might be easier to just get them done and out of the way for awhile, think this is the plan and I'll list the rest when I get in from work later.
I have also flubbed for a 3 in 1 vax cleaner hoover thingy I'll explain about the clever thing that is flubit when I get in later they are good at finding some deals generally anyway.
Love and hugs
Also OMO your lounge is beautiful!0 -
Mrs invisible I would love to knit! I used to knit with a family friend when I was about 13 but cannot for the life of me remeber how to do it.
Amey turtle aw what puppy are you going to get? And what a lovley name for the puppy.
Right operation christmas has been under way again today:rotfl:

Hi all,
It's taken me over a week to catch back up again!! unfortunately far too many posts for me to individually comment on! Green = done
Doing well on the Christmas front my list;
Mum - Sanctuary set (was £40 reduced to £10)
Aunt & Uncle - Unsure though something made like snowman soup or a candy sleigh
Cousin 1 - FCUK set (was £10 reduced to £2.50) + a little something else (he's 15 so difficult age!) Maybe a candy sleigh!?
Cousin 2 & gf - candy sleigh OR snowman soup each
Cousin 2's baby (3m) - 4 x rattles (were £1.15 each reduced to 50p each) + a top dependent on sex of the baby! If a girl probably something of Mali's as she has so much it wont all get worn.
Cousin 2s ds (2) - Unsure, probably clothing no more than £5
Nan & Grandad - Candy sleigh & snowman soup each
Besties dd (1) - In the night garden figures (reduced to £2.50 in Tesco)
SIL's ds (6) Meccano set just bought from grabbit £3.99
SIL's dd (1) In the night garden figures (reduced to £2.50 in Tesco)
dd's best friend (6) - No idea! He has so much so will ask nearer the time.
Nia teacher - Sanctuary set (was £12 to £3 in Boots 75% off sale)
Nia to Mali - Mr Tumble dvd £7
Mali to Nia - She has asked for Justins house dvd so hopefully that will be out by then!
£33.50 so far and 6 out of 14
Obviously still have to buy dh, Nia and Mali (though Mali is practically done) Nia is more difficult at the grand age of 7 at Christmas so will just save a bit each week & buy nearer the time!
You may or may not remember mine and dh "discussion" of me buying early takes away the Chrsitmas spirit and so I told him to buy his own family, he's now back tracking :rotfl: but it's tough and I told him there's 14 people on my list and he only has 8 on his, I've challenged him (told him more like lol) that it would be good if he could spend the same on his 8 people as i've got the 14!
Made a start on the kids stockings;
Nia (7)
Disney princess sticky post it notes £1, Moshi pez & minnie mouse bath scrunchie £1 (all bought) also on the list a harmonica & new tooth brush
Mali (1)
Christmas bib (£2.50), Winnie the pooh bath scrunchie (£1) (both bought) and on the list: christmas bowl, socks, sippy cup, board book, cutletry, hand bells, flannel & toothbrush
Christmas eve hampers are also underway!
Dh a pacman top and will buy some pj bottoms nearer the time £8. Would love to get the girls matching pj's! I have seen some patterns on pinterest but whether they would work out is another matter! Would need age 6 and 9-12 months so quite limited! Nia will need a dressing gown this winter so will buy both girls one and slippers. Nia a christmas sticker book. DVD - hopefully the snowman and the snow dog. Xmas teddies each (again maybe one can have the snowman and the other the snow dog if they're released?). Xmas book each Nia has the empty stocking by Richard Curtis and will get something appropriate for Mali when I see it!
I'm soooo excited for Christmas! I just love snuggling on the sofa together and watching feel good movies and the crisp air and driving round and seeing all the lights! Our tree (though with a one year old.....), school nativity, mmmm Christmas dinner
I will stop my very long post now!Spreading a little Christmas joy all year round :santa2:0
