hi, hope everyone is ok, hugs all round, anyway. I wrote a long post last night then the laptop froze so I couldn't send it. it is still playing up. Nana, not an interrogation, DS1 and his wife are in china, with their 2 nibs, DGD age 7 next month and DGS2 age 5. DS2 is single and childless, and DD has given me DGS1 age 10. I am visiting Chinese branch in June. DS1 and DIL buy my fare with their airmiles or I'd not make it. Taking DGS and favourite niece swimming at spa near penrith today, DGS wants to show off his new swimming skills. Had to buy new dookers for him, as current ones are marginal indecent. So I'd better get going. xxx

I don't know if any of you would be interested, but I was in WHS last night and spotted a fab book on sea life (encyclopaedia) for £4, reduced from £50. My friends little guy loves this type of thing and although he is far too young, it will be great for the future. The box cover (sleeve book fits into) is a little battered, but fine, but book itself is perfect.

Couldn't pick one up as I had just picked up holiday photos (all 800!) so will have to go today, may pick one up for myself also :). Not sure if it is national, but there were about 10-15 in Croydon branch.

    Xmas Saver!
Here are pictures of my lounge. I am going to paint it in the summer. The walls behind the Tv and the candles will be pale grey and the wall behind the sofa will be white. The fourth wall will also be white, although most of it is glass.

You may notice I don't do colour very well. I get bored with it, although I don't seemed to get bored with black and white.

    Hey all

Well I am now minus my appendix (and they also discovered a burst ovarian cyst and that I had a water infection)

After a day mainly spent in pain and throwing up everything I ate or drank I am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel (with the help of morphine) and hope I am coming home tomorrow.

Thanks for all your good wishes, it means a lot xx

Trendyjenny - glad you are signed off, rest yourself properly.

Omo - Your lounge looks lovely. I have been lurking (not posting) on the decluttering thread and also the hoarding thread on here for about 6 weeks and its made such a difference. The most obvious being that when my 9 year old son dropped his iPad and broke the screen (Grrrr!) I could lay my hands on both the iPad receipt/warranty and also my house insurance policy instantly.

Think the next couple of weeks whilst recovering will be spent with feet up entering comps on MSE, and decluttering can stop till I am up to it

    Xxx
    Aims for 2014
Drink a glass of water a day, Empty handbag at least once a week, Continue "not putting things off" and tackle things head on, Treasure people around me, Stay healthy and well away from hospitals, Continue to declutter/decorate house slowly and not get stressed because I can't do everything at once. :D
