  • msgigglewick I will keep an eye out for him, I love MI as well, and Finding Nemo, but my favourite is Lilo and Stitch

am feeling very upset today as my neighbour told me yesterday theyve put their house up for sale, they saw a house right by their son, daughter in law and grandchildren which they would love so they are trying to see if they can buy it. Am devastated as they are like family to me and OH and like grandparents to our children, as OH lost his parents and we dont see much of my mum we really look on them as family as well as friends, I will be heartbroken if they leave, but on the other hand it would be wonderful if they could be close to their son and his family and it is what makes them happy thats what is most important. I saw the estate agent arrive this morning with a woman she was showing round, they parked in front of our house so I saw when they left and they were in there for so long she must have loved the house :-( not that I blame her, its lovely!

    I cried when they left!
  • Oh snugglebunny i'm so sorry to hear you're upset, it is always upsetting when things like this change. It's difficult because the move for them would be positive and mean they are closer to their family, but leave a void for you. Will they be moving far away? Will you still be able to pop over for cups of tea or have them over? I know this is a very different situation to you but i'm going to be made redundant in a few months and I feel very sad about it because I really love the people I work with. I know this is different but i'm just trying to say that I understand that feeling of everything changing and not having people around you that are always usually there. I really hope they won't be too far from you. xxx
  • PoppyGirl-Thanks for the cello cone info, very handy as I wanted to make candy cones for my niece/nephews christening but worked out quite expensive using cello cones from ebay. :)

    Oh Snugglebunny8, thats a shame. :( xxx

Thanks all, am so looking forward to the christening. We dont have many occasions like this in my family so its exciting. Have started thinking about outfits as I am usually so last minute and I dont want us to be the scruff bag family as usual. :o

Am not feeling too good lately, I basically need to go to the dentists and also have a blood test but these phobias have a deep grip on me and I just cant even though I feel so ill. Nothing I say to myself is snapping me out of it, stupid! :(

Ooooh Snugglebunny as you kno I totally understand your feeling and am sending you huge hugs :)

Moneysavingmumofone I'm excited for you, I've a couple of god children and its a wonderful relationship. Sooo exciting :) and the christening planning :) ooooh
Now lovely on a very serious note you need to go and have a chat with your GP, she/he is there to help and has seen plenty of phobias like your! You are toooo special to get seriously ill when it can be prevented, my GP ( many years ),ago made me sign a disclaimer - cos I wouldn't go to the dental hospital with an abscess ! Thankfully I have a much better relationship with my current GP :)

Congratulations Opee you have so much to look forward too.

Msgigglwick how did it feel to clear those debts (I will have to take you word for it don't think I will ever experience it myself) I'm so very pleased for you :)

Feisty I've had a dream about winning the lottery and in it I was able to fund your IVF I've never wished to win so much as when I woke that morning. Big fat promise if I win that will defo be on my list. It was a lovely dream :) xxx

Linky how are you? Here in Oz it 1am I'm missing our night night chatter, the blooming time difference confuses me daily. I'd only just got my head around it in the uk, now I'm just confused. Ha xxx

Moneysavingmumofone I it isn't something you can beat yourself up about or "snap out of" it's a recognised condition of its own. Please don't be even harder on yourself specially now. Try to be kind to yourself xxx

It's hard when people we have grown attached to become less prominant in our lives but we deal with the change etc, im sure they won't vanish totally, they sound lovely just like you.

Oh that has made me giggle. I use to live in Navy Quarters and was informed by the other wives that if you left a packet of OMO in the window it was a sign/code that your 'old man was overseas' and you were up for a bit of naughtiness.
I have ever since been amazed by the 'sign' on windowsil's

Thank you Nanamia, I'm tired but getting there
