Blimey Sugarspun, that is totally organised!! Way to go!!
*Is very envious of ^ organisational skills*
Lazysheep, good luck with the chocs. I think the unit my stash is on, is about to collapse. I ought to take a photo of all the chocs etc we've got to try to get through. I shall do that tomorrow!!
Am a little miffed. Just had a call from Dunelm, the platter plates I reserved are out of stock... *humph*
Tried another branch that I can justify the drive too, but they're out of stock also.
Ho hum.. Shall make that my mission during the year, or if I'm lucky, I might find some elsewhere tomorrow. Ooo!! TKMAXXIMUS I'll have a gander in there too..
Does anyone else's stomach feel like it's about to explode?
*wanders off clutching very full tum* (wouldn't mind, but we've not eaten our evening meal yet!) :rotfl:Illegitimi non carborundum.0 -

Indeed I have chick, it was that one I'd reserved the plates in. Shrewsbury and Wolves have no stock either.I'll find some eventually.

what a day!! decluttered lounge, moved all pressies upstairs, boxed up a load of books/dvds from shelves (for charity shop) to make room for my beautiful new teapot! except it looks so lonely on its own ive now decided im gonna collect christmas themed ornamental teapots (much to dh's amusement as he says this is something his gran would have done!!).
dh still poorly so i took kids to toysr to spend money, youngest managed to get loads more lalaloopsy stuff as on 3-4-2, other 3 kids just wasted there money on random stuff! then went into town, treated self to a couple of dvds to get me through next few nights whilst dh is working away, also got 4 soap & glory sets in bo@ts half price sale, thats mum & mil 2013 bdays & xmas sorted, although will get a couple more bits for mum. Got a few gifts to recycle, so all in all looking quite good for xmas 2013. I am going to clear my overdraft & argos store card in 2013 (£1500 combined) so it means a few cut backs, but i can manage a "short" year if it means no more debts whatsoever (except mortgage but that doesnt count!!). youngest dd is poorly now also, was asleep when dh left for work & woke up really upset cos she hadnt said goodbye, then gave herself a really nasty nose bleed, bless! he will be home for exactly 9.5 hrs sat, so i can work an 8 hr shift, then he's away again till new years eve, but at least dd's dont have to go a whole week without seeing him for a change! I feel a little deflated, due to all the illness in our house christmas just wasnt much fun, i know its not his fault but dh was very grumpy & anti-social, and i felt very annoyed cos ive spent all year planning for one day... SO, that gives me even more of an excuse (like i need one) to go all out for 2013! That means lots of homemade gifts, parties & extra special touches! already booked 10 days off work to enjoy the festivities... i cant wait!!!It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.0 -
I am very jealous of all these organisational skills!
Sadly my car is still in pieces so I never made it to the sales - would have been too scared to spend the money in all honesty as I just know the blooming car is going to need more work done to get it through it's MOT
Pinknfluffy, I am quite tempted to book the week before Christmas off too. At least if I need to rush around like a mad loon I will have the time to do it[/COLOR]2024 Challenges

I just wrote a really long post about my day and what I bought and it disappeared  Sums my evening up.
So I will start again.
I drove round a stupidly placed bollard today and HIT IT. I actually got stuck on it and had to reverse off it making the whole thing worse  The damage isn't that bad, but it was very embarrassing
It has scrapped the car UNDER the back passenger door, which just shows you how low the bollard was. Completely out of my vision
Then half way home one of my headlights packed up. Only a bulb, but I really didn't need it.
But on a lighter note, I got loads of giftsALL HALF PRICE
:D
ds and ads both have Joop gift sets (£14 Superdrug) for their birthdays. And 3 Linx sets each (£10 Boots) for Xmas.
dd has a Mango Gift set (£5 Boots) for Xmas, and for her stocking, a Charlie set (£2.50 Boots) and underwear (£3 Primark).
These are gong in the stocking this evening.:D
adil has fleecy pjs (£4 Primark) for Xmas, and a Betty and Walter Gift Set (£6 Boots) for her birthday.
Younger niece has 3 art sets (£9 Disney Store) for Xmas. One of them was the only one they had and didn't have a tag, so I got it for £1.:D:D
Nephew has a Mickey Mouse case on wheels (£7.50 Disney). I will put some paper and crayons in it.
Younger boy next door has a Pirate Jake art set (£5 Disney)
Now our Robbie got spoilt (He still isn't here yet). He got a Fisher Price Cruise Around Activity Lion (£15 Boots) and a ELC Blossom Farm Musical Activity Station (£35 Argos). This is still £70 in ELC so was very happy with that purchase. They are both aged 6 months, but it seemed silly not to get them half price.
Also got him a sign saying ' Santa Stop Here, It's My First Christmas'
I got 2 pairs of pjs and some canvas pumps in Primark.
Tomorrow I am going to Colchester to see Amyturtle, and am going to treat myself to Bugsy Malone on DVD.:D
Well that's it. Just hoping it posts this time.0 -
OMO, thanks to your post I decided to have a quick look on the Argos site. I've reserved a huge Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse for my nieces first birthday in July. £15 each instead of (supposedly) £40 each. Will work out a way of getting them to her nearer the time, lol.Illegitimi non carborundum.0

Well I've got over my dissapointing birthday oh & dd are feeling very guilty.
my plans for next Christmas are to save money on my Iceland card and possibly an asda savings card coz there's no way in running around all the shops like this year. I will have a second freezer by then so I can batch bake stuff in advance. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Evening all !! I have now bought all of my cards/paper/kids stocking fillers and craft bits for 2013. Have found LOADS of crafts I want to try out on the amazing links on this thread. Now just need to find somewhere safe to store all my bits and pieces away from my 'crafty' eldest daughter who may well start making things before I get a chance!
15 crafts for 2015 challenge.
Christmas 2015 - started to save/wrap!0 -
I was a somewhat infrequent poster on let it snow but promise to try to do better this year. I had a fab first Christmas with my little boy who made this Christmas the best yet. I've already planned next christmas in a picture perfect cottage in the Lake District with my DH DS and parents so will have the added challenge of making all presents as small as possible to fit in the boot as well as being mse. I guess I'd best start early so I've already picked up a few bits in the sales :j0
