  • Hello all. I don't know where to post this so thought I'd ask - next year I want to send my MIL an advent parcel (24 little pressies to open one a day) as she lives alone but I don't have too much in our budget to do it so am looking for online, token gifts online if anyone has any ideas or can point me in the direction of an existing thread? Thank you :-)

Well I don't think I have missed anything, but I am sure you will let me know if I have.:rotfl:

A couple of the links (TV and RM) will obviously become dormant in the New Year, but will hopefully go live again in late 2013.

Please let me know your Birthday if you want it added to the list.:)

I know I wrote this in my first post, but please don't lurk, join in.:D
That means you as well Nanamia:rotfl:
Stop disappearing for days. We worry.

That's enough from me for now, see you all here on the 26th :j

PS, we are on the thread in the previous post until then.

Hi everbody! I feel like I know you all so much! I was a serial lurker on Let It Snow! Still haven't finished reading it all yet lol :rotfl:
I'm determined to join in this year though, I love planning things and its good to find others that are like that too - takes the pressure off DH :)

OMO could you please add my Birthday to the list 27th November :j

OMO- enjoy your time off work, what a lovely feeling. Not sure if I have said thanks for the new thread yet, so thank you very much! Could I just ask if you could change my birthday to 16/12 please?

I'm not sure it's never happened before you see Linky. Presents were bought much earlier than normal this year and then it happened - I got cocky. Didn't wrap, didn't do homemade things ( DH smokes in living room in the evenings so can't do them there) didn't put hampers together etc etc etc Arrghh I'm at your mercy :) xxx

Nanamia, I seem to do this every year, I start early then sit back on my laurels and everything rushes past me. My goal is to have a Christmas eve where I'm not wrapping or cooking (except cookies for Santa). I have had a bit of an excuse this year with illness and bereavement, but I really hope that next year will be easier.

Having said that, I'm useless at buying stuff early as I just lose them. I have actually given DS's some small pressies this year that I bought in a sale about 4 years then lost until
this year! :rotfl: I did get some half price cards on Christmas eve though.

Well, our Christmas day was nice but DH has been ill ever since so it's been hard work and bit boring since then. But on the plus side, at least I escaped MIL's family gathering on Boxing day! Although strangely, I missed it as it is a family tradition.
I need to try to get some of the chaos under control today, it's doing my head in now!

Have a good day everyone! xxx
