Nipped on before dh gets home and steals my wire for his laptop lol.. i've decide im going to make my sister a green cath kidson lined knitted basket with green bath goodies in and if i can find one within budget a green purse or something to put in as a lil extra something for xmas. Shall do the basket in the next month or so then slowly fill it over the year. Wow that s a lot of bargains moneysavingmumofone.
Been for eyetest and popped into boots and home bargains (very quickly as parking meter was about to run out) Got some smellies half price for o/h granddads birthday. Try not to just give smellie sets as they come but he is so hard to buy for we have just given up trying (that sounds awful doesn't it?) Went in The Range too but nothing worth having gift wise in the sales, had all gone nearly, although we did nearly leave with a table and chairs :rotfl:
Decided if it isn't too cold next week I'll have a wander around the big tesco, wilko and tk maxx to see if they have anything left. Liking this being organised even though our first birthday isn't until Marchand I'm making her a scrapbook so don't need to even be in shops.

I have a wedding present dilemma! OHs brother is apparently getting married this year but no set in stone details yet. They are people who like the nicer things in life so as materialistic as it sounds I want the present to look nice and expensive if possible.
Theres some crystal glasses on Debenhams (thanks welshdreamer!) that look lovely. A set of 4 Waterford crystal wine glasses £6 http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10001_10001_333011009999FLT4_-1?breadcrumb=Home~txtcrystal Look lovely but the box they come in doesnt look very 'special'? (found the pic on ebay so might not be right!)
Then theres the Royal Doulton set of tumblers £7.50 http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10001_10001_334027000799MISC_-1?breadcrumb=Home~txtroyal+doulton More of a recognised brand I think? Not sure what the box will look like? I would get them something more personal too, just would like a nice gift so we're not the poor relations as usual.'They only had one cow!'0 -
bay-tree-cottage wrote: »Bhatti The local college does a full body massage (60 mins) for £10. This sounds very cheap but probably because the pupils are learning not qualified and it is also a so called deprived area, which also has 3 nail bars not including college and they charge £20-£25 for basic acrylic nails. Extra for colour, art gems etc.
ohhh thanks
thats really helpful, and thanks to everyone who wished me luck with my beauty biz etc...
im off the read the posts ive missed, i think if i was to miss a week of this tread, id never catch up!_pale_0 -
Thanks for all the well wishes. I feel tons better already. Dentist had to file my teeth as apparently I had a really big nasty ulcer that wasn't healing because my teeth kept catching it. It took less than 1 minute to file them down and I already feel so much better. Also got a prescription for mouthwash to heal the ulcer. Unbelievable how much pain I was in from something so simple! :rotfl:
So glad to hear your teeth are feeling better. it must be the worst pain going!!Hello everyone
Can I join in pweeeeze?!! Been reading all your lovely ideas for ages but thought it was about time I joined in.
I love Christmas and am always looking for a bargain for all those other occasions too.
Went into Wilkos today and they had a lot of stock reduced to 25p/50p including lots of the childrens christmas craft packs. They also had their crackers reduced to £2.50 which were originally £10.00.
Lakeland still had lots of bits reduced including some chocolate santas/reindeer/gingerbread men which are now 99p and the date on them isn't until Jan 2014. Think the original price was £3.99 or something! HTH
Hello! of course you can join, its a great bunch of people here, nuts about christmas, anything you can contribute is always welcome!!Sounds likes some great bargains, will put them on my list to check out in the morning.welshdreamer71 wrote: »Just sneaking back in to whisper very quietly before i post on grabbits as im half way thru an order but debenhams have an amazing selection of home bits and pieces glasses mugs christmas mugs aprons baking sets etc for anyone putting together baking hampers their pennys some of them and for those with expensive tastes they have john rocha ben di lisi glasses etc all for a few pound bargains!!

Just letting you guys know I got £105 worth of L'ocCtaine stuff for £40 free delivery last night. Used Quidco so got an extra free gift, 2 free samples, free gift wrap. So chuffed with it I have to share, anyone want a link or order confirmation let me know. I think that will have sorted out some female gifts for the year for sure.0
