So sorry Feisty to hear what has happened. I wouldn't worry too much about people believing any lies she spreads. People like her get a reputation in the end because they don't just do it to one person.
A few years ago in our village, we had a young couple who took over the local grocers. They rather naively spent a lot of money doing the place up just before the lease was due to be renewed. The couple who ran the shop next door went behind their back and negotiated a much higher amount for the lease of the shop so they could take it over. Then when the young couple had given up their dream of the shop and had to pull out, paid a lot less for the lease.
Fast forward a year or so the new owners, who also ran the paper shop/post office suddenly disappeared and the post office officials took over. The upshot of it was they went bust owing a huge amount of money. Rumours were certainly rife at the time including that they had been fiddling the post office out of thousands of pounds and that the wife of the couple had left him and run off with large amounts of money. Their name was mud.
Karma most certainly caught up with them.0 -
Not long now!!
Last year was my one friend groups 8th year of Christmas parties/meals, and last night was the best yet. In the past we've had bad food, over priced meals, and messy nights out. So we decided to cook ourselves and it was lovely. We played card games not normal card games things like dobble, and a Christmas word finding one they are awesome I'm going to try and find them for on the table Christmas day. I'm a little hungover ... and had some fancy hand creams and a lovely Christmas mug and coaster from my secret santa (or not so secret because I knew who had who after 2 of us had the same person lol).
Today's plan - lazy until after lunch time, then do some wrapping and make green thai curry
XI hope you know your capable, & brave, & significant.

Sounds like Christmas in here.. whining, screaming, squabbling, arguing, wailing to the backdrop of Christmas CDs....

Christmas fun
The tree is naked, the bird is bald,
The oven needs cleaning if truth be told.
The presents are wrapped without much care,
Another hundreds greys adorn my hair,
The children are squabbling and fights breaking out
I need a day off, a day doing nowt!
The cabbage is limp, no spud in sight
I doubt I'll be ready for Christmas night
5 hours building lego castles,
no thanks for the hassles,
Just boxes galore,
Next year I swear there will be no more,
The animals need cleaning, they smell
do the children care? Do they hell!
The worktops are cluttered,
What was that the man muttered?
The beds need stripping,
I hear more ripping,
No presents under the tree,
Cat covered them in pee,
Cards in a pile on the side
I might have nearly cried.
Christmas morning will come whether or not,
Probably: I doubt we'll be forgot
The children will have gifts and sweets
mountains of goodies and treats
Their beaming faces warm my heart
Their joy and love makes my day.
To see them squeal and dance with glee
Makes it worth while being me!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Well hope everyone is well and hugs to all who need them who are ill or have someone who is ill. I hope OMO is ok as she seems to be missing. I hope she is looking after herself and is feeling a little better. Feisty that woman is a bit--. I hope she gets what she deserves.
I am missing my Mum. We will go to see her christmas morning but it won't be easy as she is in a home and get's bored when we open her presents. To be honest she doesn't really know what the day is all about now. I miss picking her up on Christmas Eve and her coming to ours with loads of presents and wine and we had such a good time. Thinking of anyone who is in the same boat or has someone missing this year.
Apart from this I am finished. Most presents have been given out and I just need B Sprouts tomorrow from M and S. xSealed Pot Challenge 1441

My Nan had a major part in my upbringing (lived with her for the first 4 years of my life, and then every weekend and holiday) and she too is in a home with Alzheimers now. I just wanted to give you a hug, and say you're not alone. It's heartbreaking to witness, but at the same time you know you have to count the time you have left xxx[/COLOR]2024 Challenges
