I know I'm taking over!!! Ruth may I ask if Carole Matthew novels are all as easy reads? X

Glad you're enjoying it. I didn't think I'd read any others of hers, but I just checked the rest of her publication list and I've read at least two others. Let's meet on platform 8 was a freebie with a magazine years ago and I really liked that one. Have re-read it since, so I must've enjoyed it. Also read With love at Christmas last year-although I didn't know at the time she writes lots of festive novels. So if you're thinking of reading more, I'd say go for it! Did I mention before there's a free short story of hers on kindle? A festive one. Not sure of the title and I'm not getting grabbed by it as much, but it's free, so worth a go.

It's late and my train got in at 10pm-then an hour crossing London, so I'm gonna get some shut eye now. Got new festive duvet set from my brother, so I'm snoozing under that tonight. :) Night all!

  • morning all
just having 10 nmins playing catch up before i tackle some cleaning
DH and DS1 are at work DS2 in bed still
house is messy as we had DS1 party saturday night with a band playing in the lounge and various teens asleep on settees till mid afternoon on sunday LOL they were all fantastically behaved and party went well. also had lots of family visitors arrive at different times so need to tidy.
on friday i had to pick up a prize id won from a local paper, lots of really posh shops had all donated prizes so i ended up picking up a huge box full of different things, DD3 almost went into raptures when she spotted Cath Kidson fabric so guessing that apron is now hers. DH is getting an extra pressie of bang and olfsen headphones from me;) not sure what £60 body cream feels like:eek: but thats reserved for my next pampering session. also got a beautiful smelling warm gingerbread candle so lighting that over christmas.

went to the church carol service last night but opted for OJ instead of mulled wine with my mince pie.

hugs good wishes and very positive vibes to all.

i know we are all busy for the next few days BUT you need to DELIGATE some tasks and make sure you pencil in some 'me' time you deserve it.

    Hi all,

It's been a busy weekend and I haven't had time to catch up woith you all.

Dad is still in hospital but he's had the pleural tap fitted and they're going to drain of some fluid today. We're hoping he can come home tomorrow but it's not 100% definitie yet.

I got mum a real tree that can be replanted from Home base in the sale and some half price baubles from Mr A's. She seemed quite pleased although she did offer to pay for it! I was tempted to buy one for myself :)

Did the food shopping on Saturday whilst DH taxied mum about (supermarket shopping on my own, yay!) Cooked the festive gammon yesterday. Turkey will go in tomorrow aft so I don't have to faff with it on Xmas Day.

Off to catch up with you all now.
  • Morning everyone, our house is officially mad :D we have been singing happy birthday to our dog :D:D:D who is 6 years old today and DD1 is trying to set up a facebook page unsuccessfully! (for the dog)
