Went to tesco this morning, didnt realise it was the end of the world. Lol picked up my 12 items but it still came to over 100 quid as they had 10yo old jura whiskey on sale and got a bottle of voddie to make choccie voddie. Also got some cute herb pots for oh, getting sick of ths various pastic icecream tubs filled with herbs!

Was my nans bday today, she died earlier in the year so we all went to the cemetery. I bought her a mini christmas tree :)

Then took ds to see santa, he is still a believer, was very happy and told me he had to go to bed really early on Christmas eve. Fine by me haha

Now home with hm beef pie in the oven, got to do the ironing at some point but will worry about it later.
I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

  • Hi everyone, sorry I haven't been around much this week as I have been feeling a bit !!!!py and not much like christmas but I am back and getting there (I think :D).

Sorry I haven't managed to read all the posts only the last couple of pages.

Feisty - pleased to hear that the shop has now gone - shame it had to end the way it did. Let all your bad luck to with it and move on to 2014 with your DH. Good luck to both of you.

Wuvvies - hope you all have a lovely time on Christmas Day.

chrissyg - hope dd is feeling better now.

pixtotts - your evening sounds just perfect.

    pigpen - love the verse

    marco1dog - Alzheimers/dementia is such a cruel disease. Thinking of you. x

Feisty - think I will pass on the mincemeat popcorn ;) Have a lovely evening - you deserve it.

quidsy - choccie voddy eh? That sounds very interesting. :D DH made limoncello last year for us and some for pressies but we haven't done any this year. :( Love the idea of a little tree for your Nan. It's so lovely when the little ones believe - make the most of it. And do as you have been told - get to bed early thats an order. ;)

Well just to prove I am getting there I thought I would show you a couple of pics - just in case there was any doubt.

My fireplace - I love the hearts/twigs (this is artistic/crafty for me btw) :rotfl::rotfl:

Christmas cushion covers from Poundworld - only put them on today just incase they dropped to bits before the Big Day :D Just noticed the walls look blue - they were cream last time I looked.

    2013-12-22%2017.35.41.jpg

and finally my Christmas twig as DS calls it.

    2013-12-22%2017.39.35.jpg

Plans for tomorrow - firstly go to Mr. S's for bits and bobs cream, milk, walnuts (the bare essentials in life). Might get some crackers if the price is right ie cheap. May get some time for some housework (that didn't get done today :() and then I'm off to hairdressers at lunchtime for haircut and hightlights so that will be a few hours chill out. Then tomorrow night I think we might deliver DB pressies (Italian hamper etc). That's the plan anyway :)

Noticed OMO and Nana are missing. Hope they are having too much fun to post and not running themselves into the ground.

Sorry for the long and rambling post.

    Take care everyone

Ah i like the idea of taking a mini christmas tree, i visit my nans grave on christmas eve every year, i might do that too as i usually take flowers, talking about buying alcohol the young girl serving me today said yesterday someone bought £470 of alcohol, she was so shocked as she said it was two months wages for her

Well I'm back :) well and truly, don't think I'm going to be able to cach up on everybody's news. But I've missed you all these last few days. Nobody to keep tabs on me! It's been blooming hectic here. DGD2s birthday Friday and party today. DD likes to share her stress, obviously I wouldn't have it any other way. When I say share read off load. Anyway the party was fabulous DGD2 loved every minute of it :) So Christmas in the Nanamia household can now begin. I've whipped around like a mad woman on a mission sorting, washing, putting away all the buffet stuff, party things etc. managed to put the outside lights up (help from our amazing neighbours)Have two Christmas Eve hampers to wrap, a cake pop hamper to wrap, meat to collect from butchers, veg to pick up and house to decorate before tomorrow's lantern adventure at Chester zoo. Woo hoo xxx

b_e_g I just love your decorations :) very tasteful, tell me you specially tidied for the photos and that your house isn't always so neat and show housey. Please xxx

Ruth I'm loving Calling Mrs Christmas, really enjoying it. Thank you so much for the recommendation. My concentration span is usually very short when I'm mithered, the short chapters are perfect. Trouble is I don't want it to end xxx

Freespirit I wanted to publicly thank you so very much for all your love, help and support both on here and privately. These last few weeks have been a bit of a struggle and I don't really know where I'd be without it xxx
