M&S Sale - *UPDATED*

Well I'm absolutely livid with M & S. I ordered a few things online in the early hours of the 18th (3.30am). I paid for home delivery because I live out in the sticks and my local store is miles away. I had an email this morning to say two of my items were not available and had been cancelled. Then I had two more emails, each stating that further items were not available. I now only have one item that cost £4 left and its not worth paying for delivery.
I know that during sales its sometimes difficult for stores to keep track of stock (though I really think they should sort it) but to have most of my order cancelled because they can't fulfill the order is just disgraceful IMO. I was thrilled with my bargains, all of which were baby clothes for my grandaughter. Now I have nothing, and I've missed the chance, over the weekend, to go to a store and look for bargains. I really don't believe that there can have been many people online at the same time as me buying the same things. I was quite quick with my order, I knew what I wanted and the things were clearly in my basket. I wasn't dithering choosing things. Im so disappointed I will never order online from M & S again.
I had a similar problem in the past and when I rang to have a bit of a moan, the very nice customer services lady advised me to pay the extra charge (think it is about £1) to have a nominated delivery or do a collection from store if available, as both these options get picked first for delivery at the warehouse before other orders. I have done this since and never had any items cancelled.0 -

Thank you, that's really helpful advice and I'll certainly do that if I ever order from them again.0 -
Went in store to M&S Westfield it's a pot luck. Basically trousers are priced at £9 but went through as £5. I bought a cardigan cashmere for £19 from £89. What the worker said is it depends on the colour as things are reduced further. So I recommend people take the item to the till as they may be reduced further. Maybe this is the new mgr reductions0

The prices I'm looking at are not going down. Its the same stuff being available again which went out of stock previously. That would be great but its going out my basket before I can pay for it!0
