M&S Sale - *UPDATED*

Hi, I was talking to a member of m&s staff today who said managers reductions (or last reductions) are being done differently from now on. It used to be each store manager decided on the designated day what to put everything down to and hence the £1 & £3 stuff up for grabs. Now what is happening s that head office are controlling why everything is being reduced to so the 'last reductions' are coming through in dribs and drabs and are the same throughout stores. Lots of stuff in my local down to around £6 but still lots at the first reduction price x x0

just been to M and S in Ipswich and bought a lovely pair of leather shoes with a small heel for a fiver - were £29.50. Some lovely shoes there just have to sort through.

I popped in yesterday and brought 3 really pretty bras for my daughter and even a matching pair of pants! Unheard of!:p
Came to a grand total of seventeen pounds I worked it out that it should have cost £75!
Also brought myself one of those wrap around fleecy dressing gowns. I look like the purple people eater monster!:rotfl:But if ever I stray from the path I follow
Take me down to the English Channel
Throw me in where the water is shallow And then drag me on back to shore!
'Cos love is free and life is cheap As long as I've got me a place to sleep
Clothes on my back and some food to eat I can't ask for anything more0 -

I bought a boys puffer type winter jacket this morning at Birmingham Fort reduced to £3.50 and when I took it to the still she stamped it with 'S'. I'm assuming it was a final reduction everything else seemed rubbish or very expensive. The Christmas cards were still £1.25 a pack and wrapping paper was 75p (Solihll had the same cards yesterday at 50p a packet and different wrapping paper for 25p).0

My local has high prices tat left. Bought a few bits of tat! Some stuff is the same price as marked when put through the till but other stuff is reduced further. Bought a pair of patent pumps, they were still marked at £19 down from £29.50, checked at till and they were £9. Rollerball perfume thought was £4.50 down from £9, went throught at £2.45. But then a baby book £6 down from £12 was still £6. They had more ladies clothes put out from yesterday in sale bit, but still £12+ prices.
Sales seem to be different this year. I think they're all holding on for as much as they can get.0
