Christmas bin collections - anyone else beat this one!!

Ours are great, every week and just a day late this week. North Lincolnshire must be doing something right.

I think there is a strong correlation between the councils that outsourced the work and those that have poor service. Ours used to collect weekly over christmas, since outsourcing they dont do it so much.

Any excess waste of mine is put in the public bins on the street.

my collection is 2 days later and the recycling bin is 1 day later the following week.. they are entitled to a day off.. they are a canny bunch of lads who empty our bins

ours also fell on a tuesday - they just did it monday instea - they even sent a timetable out

Our usual collection day is Wednesday and I was pleasantly surprised to see the dustcart doing it's rounds early this morning. I don't often find reasons to praise my local council, but this time praise is well deserved.

Mine is Wednesday too and this morning - exactly as published on the Xmas leaflet - the lorry came down the street. 7.30 am, about an hour earlier than usual.

Unfortunately only 3 lots of rubbish were out as well as mine.
