Scouse wife half a cup would be fine,but i tend to put barley in at the start so it takes on all the lovely flavours.

in mine today a jammon joint with a carton of apple juice and half jar of apple sauce spread over the top of he joint, weve had this before its lovely, it make the joint sweet and not so salty0

I am making a lasagne for the first time in my slow cooker and think it is going well. fryed up some tesco value mince and onions from the local market, 2 tins of chopped tomatoes from the store cupboard, made my own white sauce and used value lasagne sheets too very OS! will serve it when my fiancee gets home from work and picks DS up from nursery. it will be our first meal together as fiancees as he proposed to me last night !!!!:j
so we are celebrating our engagement the OS way!!!!!0 -

half carton of asda value apple juice
a sprinkle of sage and onion stuffing mix asda value again lol
salt and pepper.

Did you literally just chuck them in? As in, on their own? No liquid, no oil, no sauce, just the chicken legs?
(I've only owned a SC for 2 weeks you see)
I just put a bit of water in, just enough to cover them. I was thinking it might be nice to use as stock to make a soup or something? I've only had mine since christmas, they're great aren't they?:heart: Think happy & you'll be happy :heart:

Aww congrats hunnyI didn't know you could do lasagne in the slow cooker, i've only ever made lasagne once and it went wrong (not in the slow cooker) so I might try this. Hope you enjoy your meal

bottom of the fridge soup for me today - carrots, half a red onion, a normal onion, some broccoli, three potatoes, chicken stock, squirt of tomato puree, herbs. whizzed it up in the blender and it was tasty!Mortgage free as of 11/11/15 !

Scheduled for tomorrow - 20 browned sausages, 2 cans of onion soup, can of concentrated mushroom soup, tomato puree, minced garlic, fried onions, mushrooms, salt, paprika, beef concentrate. Half for dinner with mash, half for the freezer.
Hoping for a yummy sausage casserole, could add a tin of baked beans but probably won't.0
