I've never tried beef stew with pancakes. Do you roll them up, and have as a filling, or just put on top?

We put them under the stew- it fill you up more if you dont have a
lot of meat in there- an idea from Mum in law 22 years ago :)

Didn't get a chance to do my chicken yesterday, so have just put it in today on high.
  • My first time using a SC today!!

I have a jointed Guinea Fowl (browned first). With some leeks, celery, carrots, Mushrooms, Onions and Herbs and covered with Chicken stock. I sort of made it up as I went along, so I hope it will taste ok!

Just wondering.....seen lots of recipes on here using pulses/beans/lentils/pear barley. Do they need to be soaked first?

    Thanks!!

Soaking will make the pulses softer. I have used them without presoaking, and they were fine. The only things to be wary of are kidney beans if not soaked and pre-boiled.
