Shoulder of Pork, not sure what I'm doing with it yet.
Mama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.

Another bit of brisket, to be served with roast pot, carrots, peas and yorkshires :)

Home Bargains tinned lemon sponge - feeling really lazy, so just threw it in the beef juices and carrots etc after I'd taken the piece of brisket out to 'rest' (I *did* take the label off first though ;))

I found this thread earlier in the year, and went and bought a SC, made a pork casserole that was only fit for the bin and i havent used it since, but now its getting cold again and i have a newborn, i think i might start using it.

My newborn has a habit of screaming the house down at the crucial point of cooking or getting it on the plate, hence to say that we have had quite a few burnt meals over the last few weeks.

I think the error i made with my pork casserole was that i didnt brown the pork off so i could smell half cooked meat all day that put me off.

If i put something in to cook at say 9.30am will it be ready for about half 4. As i really cant get it in the pot before 9.30 and the kids like their tea about half 4 to 5 o'clock.

They normally say 7 hours on high, so should be ok but I am by no means an expert. I go through stages of using my SC and hacve got some recipes off here that I am going to try this week. I just love coming home to the smell of food cooking hmmmm :)
