Ours has some mixed root veggies and 2 chicken legs covered with stock. Will do some Yorkshire puds to go with it when I get home. This is the first thing I've cooked in my new one, I broke the old one ages ago and didn't bother replacing it as I didn't get much use out of it but decided it was time to give it another goOfficial DFW Nerd Club - Member #398 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts :T

Christmas apples! Baked apples with mincemeat in the middle and slivers of marzipan on top. Cooked in some leftover mulled red wine. Kitchen smells lovely! Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

Chilli Beef which will do OH and me for at least 2 main meals. I used some cheap stewing beef, a tin of toms and a tin of kidney beans plus some onion and celery. To add some kick there's a big dollop of chilli flakes and some smoked paprika powder (I love that stuff). Gonna have it with rice and a glass of vino before the footie this evening. It's up to me now and nobody else.0

As long as you like really, depends on your slowcooker. I am using my Mums old tower sc(not so fierce as my newer morphy richards ) Mine are done now though and have been cooking for about 4 - 5 hours.
Going to use up a tin of cream from the storecupboard with them. Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

I did brisket in mine for the first time yesterday. Used a can of Murphys, beef stock, carrots and fresh herbs from the garden. After about 8 hours I took some of the liquid out and blended it to make the sauce nice and thick. At the end I added frozen peas and a bit of frozen spinach. It was a 1.2kg piece and I thought it might last a few meals for the two of us but it was so yummy there's only a little bit left! We seem to be able to eat stew until it comes out of our ears!0
