Silly question but can you cook rice pudding in a slow cooker?
    Thanks
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

OK woken to a nicely cooking chicken - just used oil and a few herbs on the outside. Its been in for 8 hours on low (1.4kg), how much longer do I need to leave it or is it cooked already? Should I turn it at all?

I never bothered turning mine. Best to stick a fork in and see, if you are not sure. I must admit to re-crisping the top of mine before serving, but definitely not necessary.

All was well. Having tasted chicken this way I may never buy the spit roasted ones in the supermarket again. I got an astonishing 3/4 pint of stock out of the SC - can I use it all or should some be discarded after separating?

be a bit wary of how much bacon you use, this was my first try with bacon and it has softened beautifully but made the whole thing taste very salty.

Four chicken carcasses (had been frozen and sitting in freezer for a while) in mine today for stock-making.

I have got some home made meatballs in tomato sauce at the moment.

I had some rice pudding made with evaporated milk in there earlier.
