silaslang they offered me the same deal sky+ box for £49 but i said no thanks as you have to pay another £10pm for it, unless you have the full package which i dont.
i might give them another call shortly to see if i can get my package for half price by saying its getting too expensive for me it worked the last time i tried it LOL.
mind you have to be prepared for sky to cancel your subscription which im not bothered about.0 -
I still think you have a loose wire/connection in the cable from the LNB to the F connector that screws into the back of your digi box.
The LNB is the gadget on the arm that sticks out from the dish. It has the cable coming out of it. Often the connection at the LNB will become loose and need retightening. Also water can get in at the LNB as the self amalgamting tape the enginner used is not any good. This causes a signal loss. Or the LNB has been moved. Only needs a small movement (mm) to cause signal drop out. But, my view is cable issue if you can still get some channels.
If your not confident in what your looking at or doing then get Sky to send an engineer. They'll ask for £65 but say cannot afford and you'll have to cancel and get freeview or cable. Normally they'll try and convince you to stay, but stand your ground a keeping repeating cannot afford £65. Normally they'll cave in a offer free engineer visit.

I don't know what the problem was in the end, but I told the builders the next day as when I was leaving for work.
When I came home, it was fixed and had a note from some lady who works in the office of the builders apologising and that they sent a local satellite company out and fixed it.
No idea what the problem was, but that night was fine again and has been ever since.0
