  • Hi All
Thinking of going to Clacton on Sea as close to family and son wants to do Whipsnade Zoo on the way. Can anyone tell me what there is to do etc with children, any recommendations on specific parks as there seems to be a lot in the area. Thanks :)
  • Just wondered if anyone could offer any ideas, for the past 3 years i've done a number of UK breaks, this year i was hoping to go abroad, not too bothered which country but not planning on driving so would be looking at a park near the beach/facilities. Bit of a long shot but would anyone have any recommendations?
    Thanks

why don't you want to drive ? French roads eg are much better than ours

we loved Le Ranolien in Brittany ,went to Les Mouettes in Brittany last yr which was only 20 mins drive from Roscoff !

Hoping to get Les Menhirs in Carnac ,Brittany this year

alternatively what about one of the sites in Italy ?
you can fly and use public transport

Lake Garda is stunning ,we flew and then got a transfer. Didn't need a car, instead walked along the lakeside or used the ferry to visit other areas of the lake

we stayed @ Cisano / San Vito

also one of the Spanish sites ?

just book your own cheapy flight :)

Im hoping to get havens Caister park (near great yarmouth) for 27th may (half term week) but i know half term dates go quick, are there any other parks in the great yarmouth area. We went for a few days last summer and kids loved it so promised to return this year

    hi

I was really considering going abroad for the may half term. I started researching but don't think I'll be going anymore. If you like spain check out vilanova park - looks great. reviews on tripadvisor are quite good also. Reason I was interested as I wanted to take the kids to barcelona, but want to do so in august so will do a normal break then take them as originally planned. Vilanova is not on the beach but is apparently not far - buses are cheap - nice towns within easy reach not far from airport...in fact i could actually change my mind..:) .click link for reviews on vilanova....(the latest review is by someone who done it through the sun holidays)

ah Vilanova, pretty sure that's where my sister went on a SUN holiday in September. She and my niece 6 and nephew 9 enjoyed it :)
  • Hi All. My family and I have enjoyed several caravan holidays over the last few years around the UK but we're thinking of trying Paris this year and taking the kids to Disney. Looking at the three park choices for Paris two of them have both tents and caravan homes. Is there any way to make sure of a caravan? I'd hate to get all the way there then find we are in a tent and have no sleeping bags/crockery etc Thanks for any advice :)

when you book you can specify tent / caravan ( online anyway )

they always issue you caravans otherwise ,and will state this on your confirmation paperwork ...

ps the tents have proper beds, kitchen ,crockery etc ;)

Have stayed @ La Croix 3 times with the SUN and Le Chene Gris once
