I have been following this forum and another I started re problems with Dyson.
Following what I read here on the other forum and reading reviews I have bought the Miele S6210 I am delighted with it
Cost £147 from Amazon I could have got a cheaper one at £119
S2110 but reading the reviews decided to spend a little more.
I have had 3 Dyson's and would not buy another given problems I have had with them

Thanks for all the input on this forum.

    Sue
  • I am a professional Carpet Cleaner.

On the van for work is a sebo BS46
In my house I use a Sebo BS 36
    (I have a shaggy dog!)

My spare machine is a Sebo BS 36.

All are over 5 years old, apart from the spare they get heavy use but they are virtually indestructible.

    Fixed. Oops!
  • I must be the only Dy5on lover on this thread. Istill have the DC01 which I bought on sale after the next model came out. I also have an ancient Hoover Junior( metal and will never wear out) for the loft room and an upright Miele which I inherited and which is currently with DD at Uni. The secret for me is do not use them too often and keep them in good nick as vacuums like to be looked after.

I bought a hoover from Tesco on sale today. Got the hump with the v ax we had, it's never been that good. New one is a H oover. The build quality isn't great but then I don't think it ever is these days. I hoovered this morning, got the hump, got the new one and hoovered again I was so excited. It seems more effective atm anyway. And at £60 not bad at all. My friend got an upright v ax at Asda for £40 a couple of weeks ago, not keen on uprights though for myself.
I have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off :o

In our house we have ALWAYS had Henry's,

I would have liked a Henry. But Mr Taadaa said to me 'you said it had to be good at sucking up pet hair; you never said it had to have a face'

This gave me a much needed giggle, thank you, it reminded me of
our office cleaner who used to talk to her Henry all the time.
