Perhaps you should reply and direct then to this thread where NOT ONE SINGLE PERSON who has reported CC voucher theft has had any other account compromised.
I do not believe their explanation for one minute, if it had been due to passwords being stolen from a different site at least a few people out of all the people here would have had other accounts hacked.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
Had my account hacked as well, vouchers worth £145 used on 7th and 8th October, in Leeds and Southport (I live in the Midlands)0

Only noticed yesteray when I came to spend somevouchers that I had also been hacked, they were used in march october and november I live in the midlands and mine were used down south, apparantly they will be replaced in february0

My reply from the CEO is word for word the same as 4 Pete's Sake. Not good enough! They even miscalculated my stolen points. I am very fed up with this. If they promised point in the November mailing in September, you should not have to wait until February.0

I found out yesterday that my account has been hacked and clubcard points stolen. I'm really angry as I'd been saving them for Christmas. Its about time Tesco sorted this problem out.0

Logged into my account yesterday and found that £320 worth of vouchers collected over the last 2+ years were stolen from my account and used last week. Nearly all seemed to have been redeemed in the Manchester area but I live in Essex. I've contacted Tesco and they say they have referred it to their fraud dept. Should I also register this with 'Action Fraud' ?
We were hoping to double up on these vouchers to pay for Christmas - sadly, this seems to have gone out the window. Absolutely devastated, any idea how long Tesco take to refund the vouchers (if at all ) ?0 -
Just tried logging in to my Tesco club card account because today I received a club card mailing in the post addressed to my address but not my name. I couldn't get into my account so I phoned customer services. Ha the rudest customer services operator ever, once she realised my account had been hacked and my vouchers spent. All of a sudden it was my fault and she basically said, oh well there is a lot of fraud about these days, tough luck although not in so many words. She has promised me a call back once she has 'investigated ' although apparently MY attitude was so bad she said it will probably be her manager who phones. I actually thought I remained very polite but hey ho she thought differently. Seems like I have lost around £50 of vouchers that they 'might' reimburse through my points. Just as well I wasn't relying on them for my Christmas food.0

Ours took several months to be refunded - but then we were among the first to be defrauded, nearly a year ago. I'd hope that tesco where somewhat quicker now, especially when it is clear cut.
What is frustrating is that it is not only the password/username issue, but the fact that some stores where the vouchers are spent clearly don't require people to show their clubcard or prove their ID when using the vouchers.
Further up the thread it says they may only refund them when the next mailing is due, but that they might send you a card with the value of them on, if that is preferable (read up for details)
There was another article in the paper a few days ago:

I think that reply from the ceo's office is rubbish. They are just trying to pretend that it wasn't an inside job when it is clear that it was.0
