Hi all,
Hope everyone's having a good weekend - mine seems to have sped by, can't believe it's Sunday evening already, the working week never goes this fast! :rotfl:
Had quite a good weekend, met a friend for coffee this afternoon so was nice to have a catch up. Then got to do an internet radio interview on the new book release - was very nervous beforehand, especially when the dial-in number they gave me didn't work so was panic emailing them 2 mins before I was supposed to be on live! But once it started wasn't too bad, and hopefully won't sound awful. (there's a recording up on the site so will be brave and listen to it later, I know I'll hate it, can't stand the sound of my voice for a start) Still it was def a new experience which is always a good thing!
Not done much fabbing, am going to try and get my hair and nails sorted out tonight. Took my scales back so not sure if I've lost any weight or not, they were claiming 4 lbs in a week and a half but don't seem very reliable so will just get some new ones online. Going to go try and find something healthyish for tea now and then try and get some writing done.0 -
My weekend has sped by too - Sunday always zooms past quickly these days.
Fabness today - I have just done Extreme Shred again after my 2 week break. My foot has recovered well and it went pretty well, although a little puffed!
So just had my tea and now off to hunt out a pud from the cupboard I think, The next 2 weeks will be aiming to eat up plenty from the stores to cut down on the food shop bills. All work stuff us ready to go for tomorrow and it looks like snow again - when will it feel a little more spring like?final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Damn and blast - just did a post - in which I was moaning and whingeing about how ill I feel today........
Sorry can't write another one - just feel too rotten.
I'm going to go back to bed to try and sleep it off - whatever "it" might be.
Bye for now0 -
Hope you're feeling better now LL.0

Good morning all
Thanks vns - feeling much better today - don't know what that was all about.
Today is the phsio, high time, the ape lady look is not a one.:rotfl:
I feel all twisted and lopsided today. What I need is stretching out on the rack. My posture is dire at the moment.
Managed a mani and pedi yesterday.
I did intend to sort out my wardrobe yesterday but couldn't be bothered. I need to do a shopping trip pronto. I do know I'm in need of some tops and in dire need of a few undies. My bra's are a disgrace.:
I have been really busy this last couple of days, have finally started viewing some properties.
There is some dross out there, no wonder they are not selling.
Viewed the flat I fancied, just as I expected. However I also took the time to walk round the complex and surrounding streets. Noticed there was another flat - top floor this time. Fancy "penthouse" sounds good. Definitely worth the "Bond" treatment.
Have booked a viewing for Friday. In the meantime I have booked an appt to view a wreck in the middle of nowhere for Wednesday. Talk about going from the ridiculous to the sublime.
Wish I could have both. A pretty country retreat for summer and a smart city flat for winter.
Well - a girl can dream.0 -
So glad you're feeling better today LL. You seem open minded on the property search. Are you sure doing up a wreck is a good idea when you're feeling under the weather?
After posting that my nails were in great condition, I managed to break one on Saturday! Fortunately before I'd done the manicure so I took the opportunity to cut them all down while I was at it.
I still haven't done anything about my wardrobe either. I don't know about everyone else but this weather is really getting me down. I find it hard to motivate myself to buy spring clothes when the weather's like deep midwinter and I'm getting a bit bored with what I've been wearing all winter. For bras I would recommend you go and get measured (unless you're certain of your size) and then try TK Maxx. They have some really lovely things, quality brands for supermarket prices. The trouble is you have to be in the mood for trying on bras when you have loads of layers to take off!:rotfl:

Over the past few months and weeks I have been thinking long and hard about what I want out of life over the next few years and beyond. I have started saving properly, probably for the first time in my life and thinking about the sort of lifestyle I want to work towards in terms of my career, where I will live etc but the big question keeps popping into my head - will I be here to enjoy it?
I know it sounds morbid thinking like this but I am actually finding it quite motivating. The one big thing I ignore is my health and specifically my weight. If I am planning for the next 20 or 30 years financially etc then I need to start planning to be here to enjoy it too. I need to really start seeing the big picture and prioritising my health and weight loss on a day to day basis and stop putting it off until...whenever. Part of the issue is my confidence to just get out there and try things and lack of consistency but I need to make a real start today. Any and all suggestions welcome on ideas to get me moving. Tonight I am heading out for a walk in the snow - in fact I may just build a snowman!0 -
Good for you Allie!
Nice to see some positivity :beer:0 -
Another good day today. Exercise fabness taking a little back seat while I focus on the below, then tomorrow will be back shredding again after work and a meeting
I sent out the research recruitment emails and 3 participants agreed to take part in the research project, very pleased with that. Glad I took the plunge and went for it instead of feeling afraid of what I thought would happen when in fact that didn't happen at all and reality was completely different to my thoughts. Finally, arranged a meeting for some voluntary work experience tomorrow.
All usual skin, hair and nailcare going well. I'll sort out a fab outfit for the Equinox tomorrow and my meeting.
Tonight I celebrated my good work with a twirl - naughty but wanted some chocolate!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550
