    Morning!

Ho hum, did my weekly weigh in as per my plan to discover I had put on 1kg or 2lb over the last week.

Not sure how as according to my food disry I am 5138kcals under for the week and have burnt off 2465kcals this week. I have eaten quite a bit of chocolate - controlling the amount though and not scoffing the lot all in one go. Have also taken my measurements and lost half an inch from my waist which was a nice surprise.

I'm not too worried and will see what next week's results say- hopefully get back to target weight

    Very cold here. And icy.

Watched rick stein prog yesterday. They made a lovely looking Moroccan soup do may try and find recipe for that. Need hearty food this weather.

Not much fabbing recently. My nails look like little stubs!!

So a pamper session very much needed :A

  • Morning all! Just said goodbye to the visitors - the house is mine again - hurrah!
Off to the hairdressers this morning for a colour and cut. Its long overdue so will hopefully make me look a bit better. The cardis I ordered from H&M arrived this morning too so may well wear one of them - its still cold here!

Will be back in time for the rugby this afternoon so will cheer Wales on and probably France too ( they're playing England!).
Otherwise its shopping and cleaning day and I need to get some work finished too. So a busy day all in all.
    Better get on with it!
  • I'll be watching the rugby later too - cheering on England for that chance of the Grand Slam - c'mon lads!

Just been out for a run - first one in ages - went ok and ran 10k in not too great a time of 56mins but hey better than not going at all.

Might tackle the foors next and get on with some housework before lunchtime and settingly down to see how Wales get on against Italy

Us Welshies have got to stick together Maman!

Had my hair done and its a bit of a departure for me - slightly different colour that makes it look all healthy and shiny and lots of flicky layers and a sweeping fringe (hairdresser speak for growing out fringe!). It looks really nice now but not sure what it will look like when I do it myself!

Also been to the bank and have put the whole £5000 inheritance cheque into a 2 yr bond at a good interest rate (well, good for today's market anyway). Feel quite virtuous for putting it away for a rainy day. I have a nice little cushion of about £8500 squirreled away now to not touch, will hopefully get that up to £10000 by the end of the year although I'm also saving in different accounts for holidays and to redecorate the spare room. Feel a lot more secure knowing that there's something to fall back on should the worst happen.:)

    Right, the rugby is on.....

    Hi all

Very cold here and we've had a sprinkling of snow.

We've been to watch my 10yr old nephew take a flight today in a little plane, it was his birthday present from last year that he's only just got round to taking, due to various family things going on and his voucher ran out shortly and as my DB is off to afgan in a couple of weeks, he had to get it in before his dad went away. It was good to have the family together for a happy event. DNephew loved it and is saving his pennies to be able to do it again. It was mighty cold though as the airfield is on top of a hill.

Glad Wales won the rugby today and hope England are able to match them.

WW - that was a lovely gift from your grandparents.

Hope everyone is ok and keeping warm.

  • Hello all,

Go Wales, honourary Welsh girl here!

Well been an interesting week on the men front, ex crawled out of woodwork, went on a date with another, got send flowers and chocolates to work but no idea who from! Hardly anyone knows where I work. But was lovely to receive them!

Fabbing wise is on-going, healthy diet started well, then went to pot when anything emotional drama crops up or stress! So started afresh today, been to gym class and swimming and healthy diet but all I want is chips! I do not need!

Have a lovely evening all xx

There are several types of lumbar puncture and I wanted to make absolutely sure that they got what they needed and did the right tests first time. There's no way I was going to allow them to do it twice unnecessarily. It's a very unpleasant and risky proceedure. The fewer times it needs to be done the better.

I ended up in hospital for two weeks after my lumbar puncture. They had to patch the puncture twice as it was leaking through the site. I have never felt so ill.

No fabbing here as i am currently bedbound a lot of the time but looking forward to the spring x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Oh My Lord, what a horrible, scary experience. Hope you feel better soon.

I have to say that I didn't really want OH to put himself at risk again - he'd already one at the start of his illness, plus a brain biopsy.

Both hugely risky proceedures which have netted zero results as far as a definitive diagnosis is concerned. Still it was his decision and it would be wrong of me to withthhold treatment or tests from him if he wants them.

WW - supporting "the Frogs" against our English Lads. :rotfl::rotfl: Have you forgotten Agincourt!!!! On this St Crispin's Day and all that.;)

Actually I've been watching a great history series on the box - can't for the life of me remember what it's called - but it's covered the Black Death, Wat Tyler and the Peasant's Revolt and this week it was the 100 Years War.

I love that stuff and it's rarely that they "do" the Middle Ages in any depth. Makes a change from all those boring Victorians. You can't beat a few mad Plantagenants for sheer entertainment value.

    It's really cold here too.

    Roll on Spring:rotfl:
