Thanks for the welcome WelshWoofer.
I have made a start tonight. A nice long bath, cleanse tone and moisturise and body lotion. It does feel nice to pamper doesn't it?
I tend to wear perfume everyday, it's one of my luxuries I do allow myself. Mind you it tends to come to me via Christmas and birthdays from Mum. I'm still trying to train DH.:rotfl:
I have also signed up to myfitnesspal online as I'm too cheap to pay for slimming world.:o;)
To start off with my aims are
To lose two and a half stones
To take care of my skin daily
To eat more healthily and exercise
To spend more time in the garden and on my hobbies
To just be and relax more.
I will probably think of more later.1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

Welcome parsniphead  You have a good list of goals there. Just remember LL's golden rules:
1. Small steps at a time - remember the elephant
2. Not to beat yourself up if you fall off the wagon. Just stretch out a hand and one of us will pull you back on. You will see as you keep up with the thread that it happens to all of us.
My move is suddenly becoming more real and we will be house hunting this week, just for a rental place for now to make sure we like the area etc.
I've been rethinking my approach to this thread and am now going to set some weekly fabbing goals so here goes for this week:
1. Wear make-up for 4/7 days
2. Nighttime skincare regime everyday
3. Get hair cut!
WW - are you still doing the 10k on St Davids Day?0 -

thanks for the comments guys; I'm leaning more toward the surgery actually, then it's all over and done with but just have a few questions for the dr first I think.carpe diem

Welcome Parsnip, join us on the road to fabdom.
My weekend was quite busy, took advantage of the beautiful weather and helped O/H to saw stacks of wood for the fire! I shall count that as my exercise:rotfl::rotfl:
I am planning a mini break for next month, a little incentive to stick to the health eating.
:hello: To anyone I have missed :hello:

Hello Everyone:wave:
What a gorgeous day, blue skies and wall to wall sunshine. Long may it last.
I was up with the larks, had a mini blitz, tackled a load of paperwork, went shopping and then went to see Mum & Dad. Just had a cuppa and now it's time to exercise and then cook dinner, then a little nap, do some ironing, watch a bit of TV and then an earlyish night. Phew!!
Tomorrow I have a really early start. The ambulance will be picking up OH very early to take him to Nottingham for a lumber puncture. They are testing his CSF levels to decide if he is a suitable candidate for some wonder drug. It's not a miracle cure but something to ease his symptoms a little.
As he will need a stretcher it has to be an ambulance so I'm guessing it will be a fairly gruelling full on day with a lot of hanging around. Must remember to take a book and some nice eats!!! At least OH should be reasonably comfortable and won't have to be propped up in his wheelchair for hours on end.
Welcome Parsniphead (I won't ask how you arrived at that name:rotfl:) Sounds like you've made a good start.
Right time to get cracking. If I sit here much longer I shall start nodding off......0 -
Afternoon all!
I'm another that's had a busy day - been working (doing 3 back to back revision sessions during half term, got 111 kids in between 3 staff:eek:, very pleased with the turnout). I get paid extra for doing them so its not all bad.
Finished at 2.30pm then whizzed back home, picked the dog up and we went for a good long walk along the river in the sunshine. It was quite cold but a good incentive to move quickly. Then a quick whip around B&M and now we're home. I'm working again tomorrow but will finish mid afternoon and then my half term starts properly.
Going to do a bit of Tae Bo later (only 30 mins but it is kn*ckering!) and then have a bath and watch the telly.
Hope this good weather continues - its a real mood booster:)0 -
I used a new cleanser this morning and felt as though my skin had a new lease of life. I think it was in need of a change of routine.
I too have enjoyed the weather over the past few days. Did some gardening on Sunday and spent some time just sitting o my garden bench enjoying the sun.0 -
I am off work with a heavy cold and sore throat. As a result, hoping 2 days of rest gets me back to normal, to go back on Wed rather than feel even worse while there.
Today, I have been quite bored and did a few admin jobs to pass the time - counted up the totals of the change pots, cancelled a policy - a job I've put off for a while and renegotiated with virgin - not a great result there but a bit better for only £7 more.
Made myself go out in the sun with the dog around the waterpark to see how I felt and get out for some fresh air. Not much better but better after my nice bath with HM decongestant milk bath salts - very nice and do feel better now. Mind you thats because I have hardly moved since!
Think I'll do a little bit of ironing later - rock n'roll here! Still better to do it now rather than next weekend.final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Good evening
Back on the 5:2 last week. It's weird, having done it properly for two days I have completely lost the urge to snack or eat as much as usual. I mean I still have maltesers left over from night out with H  this is unheard of. I would have scoffed them all by now.
Not much fabbing, it's half term and DD is poorly so not doing anything above and beyond normal daily routine.
Parsniphead welcome
WW enjoy your half term when it eventually starts, nice to see so many pupils keen to revise
Carmen not sure why link won't work, try this one http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=fiGWYCap_-U if that doesn't work either just look on YouTube, there are loads of videos about the prog
