    Morning all!
For those of you at work - it's Friday!!!!
Lots of great fabbng news - well done ladies!

Its a week since I started back on the diet and exercise regime and so I did my formal weigh in this morning and have a total loss of 3.5lbs since my post Xmas weigh in on the 28th :j. Now just 1lb away from my lowest weight again:) I want to get there and then lose another 5 or 6 lbs.

Going to have a schoolwork day again today - more marking and planning :(
Will also go for a run - I must be ar*ed today :rotfl: No more slacking.
Right, its time to take the dog to the park and miraculously its not raining yet. Hope everyone has a good day.

ETA - I made myself go for a 6km run and quite enjoyed it once the initial first 2 mins of torture were over. Am I the only one who hates the first couple of mins and then gets into their stride? Its the only time I really feel like giving up but once I force myself through it, it all kind of settles down into a rhythym and feels ok.
  • WW, I really need to have a school work day today but I never seem to get any peace from OH. I will be glad when he is back to work!!

Have showered, cleansed and moisturised this morning. Put light make up on and done hair.

I have got a lot of skin care and toiletries stuff for Christmas so don't think I will need to buy any for a while! I have lots of Liz Earle Skin care things which I will use up before using the full size ones I bought for myself early in December. I also have Decleor moisturiser and eye cream as well as various body washes/shower gels, body lotions and foot cream/scrub.

    Happy new fabbing year All.

Well the only pampering I have done is my shower, I actually put on a small amount of moisturiser on my face, and lotion on the arms and legs but then got interrupted so the body bit went by the wayside!.
    Least its a start.
I am going to be blitzing DGD's room this afternoon, so I am using that as my exercise!. I hate exercise.
I feel that running around in life is enough for me. Naughty I know.
There is no point in me saying I am going to do it, if I obviously am not!.
I do normally eat healthily, but have realised that in the last few weeks I have really slipped into quick and deepfrying meals. So have to re think that in my Menu Planning.

I agree I have lots of potions and lotions lurking and need to start to use them and find the metime again.
But I feel fresh at least. (Although incredibly tired, even though I had a reasonable night, only woken up twice, but after 4.30 it was harder to get back to sleep).
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

...I can't believe how much nicer the wardrobe is looking now LL. At first it felt well that's a waste of money, but now it looks lovely and the clothes take up less room and the hangers don't clatter about. :)

Can I ask where you got your velveteen hangers from Mineallmine? I'd love to tidy up my wardrobe with them!

    Hi all,

Had a quick look at the Hairy Biker's recipes online - did look quite nice, though I agree with some that they definately don't seem to fall into the 'quick and easy' category. I must admit I'm rather a lazy cook, I make excuses that I'm tired after work but I think it is really just laziness :o Couldn't be bothering making anything much when I got home from lugging the shopping last night so settled for quiche and jacket pot. Was going to have the rest of the quiche for lunch today but OH had scoffed it when I got up :rotfl:Bless, I always tell him he can help himself to any leftovers and he never does so typical when I was planning on taking them to work is the one time he does!
I feel for you LL with the small oven - ours is tiny, it has one shelf which makes cooking anything complicated (or that I can't fit on one baking tray!) a bit of an endeavour.

Pamsdish - that's interesting on the Sketchers, have looked at them before but wasn't convinced they would actually make a difference, and heard a few reports they weren't very comfy? Could do with something though - thighs are definately a problem area for me too.

ww - it is Friday, yay! - rather odd as it seemed like a Monday yesterday but I won't complain :rotfl:Well done on the weight loss :T

Well slept horribly again last night so was a real struggle dragging myself up this morning. Don't know what's wrong with me at the moment, I was shattered all day but when it came time for bed I couldn't seem to drop off. Guess since it's Sat tomorrow can have a bit of a lie in.
Sent off my first writing of the New Year - back to that panicked feeling and the obsessive stalking of my email box :o Bit worried that I should have checked it more but not much I can do about it now.
Hope everyone is having a good day x

    Hello everyone.

A great day. It's all good and lots of positives today - here's 2.

    1. We're in, everything's up and running, t'internet, phones, tv. Heating on, nice and cosy. Beds made, bathroom stuff out, most of my clothes put away, urgent kitchen stuff put away. A nice simple dinner of pre-cooked bolognese sauce, so just the pasta to cook and then a well earned rest this evening with a glass of something to celebrate.

I'm really tired of course and there are still loads of boxes etc to unpack but nothing of any real urgency. The master plan is have a potter around here tomorrow getting a bit straighter, then back to the old house each day for a few days to clean up, take stuff to the tip etc and generally finish off at that end.

    Getting there....

    2. The other really positive is I saw my GP today regarding my skin. The good news he's very confident that the cancer has not returned and that all the new lumps, bumps etc are completely benign.

However given my history and pre-disposition to skin cancer he has treated a couple of tiny lesions and a new naevus (mole to us).

Whist they are all quite innocent at the moment he felt we shouldn't take any risks so he blasted them with liquid nitrogen now to avoid surgery at a later date. They feel a bit sore and they will blister in a few days but then there will be nice clear skin when it's all healed and no further scarring. Needless to say I feel very relieved.

Obviously I will have to keep monitoring my skin and I shall definitely be upping the SPF in future, wearing a hat when gardening.

If I'm going to have to take extra care in the sun, then I may as well make a feature of it.... I think a whole new collection of wide brimmed hats and uber cool sunglasses will be required. ;)

Maman - I will have to copy your Jackie O glasses:rotfl:

    Time to cook that dinner.
  • Evening All,

Day on sofa for me after being rather sick last night must of been something I ate as been ok today just tired and drained. Good night sleep will sort me out.

Need to get back on job hunting properly please feel free to kick my backside! I need it! But first need to plan something for my b'day on Sunday I hate a fuss, but feel i ought to do something.

    Eh x

    Home Bargains :j

Think they sell them in packs of 10. But TK Maxx sell them too. I used to be put off thinking they're so thin, they're too weak. But once I put some up I realised they look so much better and take up less room. I used to have the ones up that shops give you (which are absolutely fine) but I'm a clutz and I seem to knock them and clatter them constantly.
I'd read a book from the library called something like Practical Princess about an organiser. Basically she helps people like Kate Moss. Most of her book was it felt pushing her own range of products and hangers. But when I looked at the photos I thought I could do that and cheaper :)

Here's a link to some of her photos on Google http://www.google.co.uk/search?num=10&hl=en&site=imghp&tbm=isch&source=hp&biw=936&bih=368&q=practical+princess+hangers&oq=practical+princess+hangers&gs_l=img.3..0i24.1547.5297.0.5516.26.9.0.8.8.0.703.2219.0j5j3j6-1.9.0...0.0...1ac.1.GxmguBbsWTE

I didn't buy the range of hangers she shows. Just a simple one and Home Bargains also did a trouser hanger in the same material.

But if no HB near you, try TK Maxx, or a Wilkinsons

LL - that move sounds like it's gone really well. So relieved for you about checking those health things. Good for you for sorting this scary thing. Some SPFs are lovely to apply so experiment to find one you enjoy putting on. Clarins do a face one that I think is SPF30 that smells of summer! The Body Shop sell a seaweed (and a Vitamin E one) with an SPF of 15. They both smell nice too. You could always ask at Beauty Counters like clinique for samples, I find if you chat long enough you can butter them up :)

Eh - here comes your kick! Think about where you've been looking so far, are there any other agencies for instance you could sign up with? And don't be forced into doing something for your birthday unless you want to. Its you day. Your rules :)

    Just a quickie for LL....

What a fabulous day! Settled in and, more importantly, fantastic news about your skin and health. Must be a relief! 2013 is going to be your year!
