Hi, how's it going?
Can you ebay any of the surplus clothes?
You might make a tidy pile (of money not clothes!)0 -
I haven't posted in a while and feel a bit embarrased. It was a long month last month and I knew it would be a struggle but instead of embracing the challenge I just kind of gave up. I stopped budgeting and only today have I had the courage to check my bank balance. I hadn't completely lost it though, I haven't gone over budget but I spent more than I should of done and didn't pay off as much from the CC as I would of liked.
I have saved £300 for MOT & tax at the end of the month but I think my car might be more costly than that, but fingers crossed!!!
I'm off to find all of my receipt from the last month so I can claim back some expenses, have no idea how much it will be0 -
Sounds like you haven't done too badly, you probably have an in-built system now to stop you going too crazy!
Get back on track, you're doing so well, can't be perfect all the time!0 -
Thanks for the support Jox, didn't go too crazy but just wasted money when I didn't need to.
Have just sorted out my expenses and they came to £115, so I will either use it for my car or if it's not needed then I will pay it off the CC. Will have to put in another claim next week as I have left some reciept at work0 -
Again, forgot to update my diary. I do really well and savemoney when I am filling in my diary but when I stop that’s when I start tospend money unnecessarily.
I have just used the Snowball calculator and my debt freedate is still October 2014, at least I haven’t gone backwards I suppose. But it could have been a couple of monthssooner if I had just concentrated more.
My accounts currently stand at:
Natwest Credit Card-£473.57 Hoping to pay this one off theend of June, so excited!!
Natwest OD -£3279.63
Current account -£435.70 although I don’t get paid until 31stMay so this will go up to nearer -£600
I’m so excited to be paying off the credit card next month;it will lift a huge weight off my shoulders.
I have just cancelled my Graze boxes, it was only £3.89every 2 weeks but I’m just not enjoying them therefore that’s a few quid I havesaved there J

Realised the last couple of weeks that there is a direct correlationbetween a tidy and organised home and my mind being organised and focused.
When my home is a bit messy or unorganised I spend moremoney and have a ‘don’t care’ attitude. I think I need to work with this and ifI make an effort to put everything away after I have finished with it then I might stand a better chance of not wasting money. I know this sounds alittle bit crazy, but if it works for me.

I agree if im not organised in one area then it is often a reflection on other areas. Keep posting even if its just a one liner.:j0 -
NEED TO KEEP FOCUSED!
I just keep thinking of all of the things I would like to buy, and I seem to be getting itchy feet again. I currently rent and have got a habit of moving about every 6 months, I have done better this time as I have been in my current place for 2 and half years, but I just keep looking at other places to rent. I know it's silly as the rent is pretty cheap and I know if I moved I would pay more in rent. I still don't really have any furniture of my own and that frustrates me, I have the urge to but things, at least I would have something to show for my money, but I knowI know I need to pay off this debt, then I can buy whatever I want.
Sorry for the rant!0 -
Just looked back at the SOA that I done towards the end of December, I am now around £60 a month better off then I was before. Most of this is due to taking out a pension at work, it is done via salary sacrifice, therefore I have given myself a pay rise by paying towards a pensions, win win situation. I know it's not much but over a year its an extra £300 I receive! And in another couple of months I will be another £30 better off. So that's nearly another £100 extra to pay off my debts. In a couple of days time I am going to re-evaluate how much I pay off my debts each month and hopefully increase it
Happy, Happy!!!

Sounds good, Sorry if I've missed this but do you use the snowball calculator. That can be addictive!:j0
