Can't be bothered with Debenhams any longer, "bargains" or not. Time is money, I value my time, and having it wasted by Debenhams NOT fulfilling orders for items which are in the sale & showing as in stock at the time of ordering is a bit of a disgrace IMO, and not particularly money saving either when you factor in this wasted time...

How many times do people have to be let down by them without recompence before people begin to boycott them and shop elsewhere?

    SORT OUT YOUR SYSTEM, Debenhams!

and if by a miracle you do manage to get something delivered its left on door steps, in bins or thrown over garden walls

their website is the worst I've ever used!

I ordered five items from their sale late Saturday evening. All delivered early pm yesterday. I use them a lot online and overall am very pleased with their service especially with free delivery.

I ordered the Babyliss Big Hair styler which was reduced from £45 to £30. I received it today and the box was all tatty and could tell it had been opened before. When I opened the box I noticed a returns slip from another customer stating the item was faulty and it also looks like it has been used.

As this was a birthday gift I wouldn't have gave it in this condition so will have to return it to store. This is the first time I have been unhappy when ordering on Debenhams but has put me off ordering electrical/beauty items

You're lucky I don't think I have ever had one order that does not have something wrong or missing items (and you have to wait 14 days 'just in case' it turns up when you know dam well its missing as your invoice says 4 items and you have 3) or your order is sent in multiple packages.

On my last order I bought a red and black striped jumper and received a plain red jumper (all bag code as they should be so someone can't read and is also colour blind!).

Every time, I say never again then I spot something, order and yet more issues.
Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.

I guess i have been really lucky, bar the massive mess up the other day with all the good house stuff i have had very few cancelled orders. I know the 2 women who do the deliveries so never a problem with that also

My sister placed an order just before christmas for three bags around £50 each. She received a vase! Maybe it was the same person packing her order. No idea how it didn't smash in delivery as it was poorly packaged in a mailing bag which they use for almost everything, I don't think I've had a Debenhams order delivered in a box.

I guess I have been lucky after reading the posts on here. I am disappointed with the item I received today. The box was all tatty so looked old and used. I can't believe someone has taken it out the box tested it and used it then returned it as faulty and I have received it in used condition.

  • I agree, had some problems with Debenhams online, Ordered some half price make up a few weeks ago, only got half the order but was charged for all of it! (if it doesn't come off my next statement I will certainly be ringing them up!)
Have had to ring them in the past and complained about the price of the call as well as the reason I was calling and they added extra points to my account as compensation.
Been to the debenhams in Chester today by the way and Philosophy have some bath foams and the xmas stocking fillers at 75% off! (suppose I should do a new post about this?)
