I've just been looking at my finances and discovered that since I started my MFiT challenge I have reduced my outgoings by £324 per month.
I've done this by reducing my mortgage by changing to a 3 yr reduced rate and by making a total of £30k overpayments/offset payments. I have gotten rid of my endowment that was costing me £64 per month and have arranged joint life assurance that is cheaper than the endowment and individual policies I had with Mrs Dither.
I have also put our mobile phones on a small business tariff which means calls to each other and our home are free. The rental is cheaper than having two individual tariff's, plus the calls are cheaper, and the free ones are great.
I have just set up Mrs Dither with a stakeholder pension and so £234 of the £324 I have saved will go into that. The remainder will go onto our mortgage.
This is what my MFiT quest is all about, freeing up money that would have gone on bills or mortgage interest and using it to our advantage.Mortgage Free in 3 Years (Apr 2007 / Currently / Δ Difference)

I agree DD - well done you!
I am just about to renew the home/contents insurance. I have managed to get it through quidco so I will hopefully get the same cost insurance but with a £120 cashback! That can go in the mortgage pot too! Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!

Quidco is great, I have got lots from them over the year. My husband got the £120 cashback from Lloyds for his car insurance. However they wanted proof of his no claim and as he was 2 days late sending it they cancelled his insurance. We then went with Barclays and got £85 from them via Quidco so nearly got the insurance free in the end.
I also like Pigsback I have got lots of Boots and John Lewis vouchers from them. If anyone wants to be referred let me know.
I love this quests as it gets you thinking of ways to increase your income and cut down on expenses I have even got my DH on board to the extent he went to 3 supermarkets with me yesterday to get the max Tesco points.
Quick update on the chart we now have 56 people on it so not bad out of 85. I have found it I can post the chart on here directly without having to use Photobucket so it is a lot easier now.Save £12k in 25 No 49
