A quick update, nothing exciting, the regular monthly payments ticking by.

I've updated the balance in my signature. and crossing my fingers for Merv and his mates doing the decent thing and holding the rates tomorrow!

    Bye for now.

My builders have let me down and won't be able to fit me in before they do a 6 week job elsewhere. This means that the £2500 I had sat in my current account waiting to pay for our new patio has now been paid into my Interest Only mortgage account.

I just hope they don't suddenly manage to fit me in, cos I won't be able to pay them!! :(

    I've sent off my first re-payment!! :T :T

I'm testing the bacs payment thing which they say will credit my mortgage account in a few days. I have a statement due end of next week so will see if it works properly. Woolwich are awful at customer service and I keep getting different info - and when it takes over an hour to get through, that's not good!

Only £88 paid off, but I'm on my way - wooohoooo:j

Just a quick update from me.

Quest no 68. Since April 07 I've made £1500 in overpayments along with my regular £673 odd monthly payments. As of today (04 July) my mortgage stands at £118992.93.

Hmmm... Today it says £119009.15. Is this because of daily interest?

Anyway am going to make another £500 payment shortly.

Also, I received a letter from Nationwide saying my monthly payment is down to under £670 now (from the initial £692 when my mortgage first started in August last year).

Let's not be too hasty... My normal mortgage payments got out on the 15th of the month, so lets just see how we both stand after that... :)

No, no. That's not the way the game works. We use your figures from Tall Girl's spreadhseet and my figures from my signature (that has just been updated). This means that I'm ahead.
