Well my big tax payment has gone out, so that will take a chunk out of my offset savings!
Bit depressing, but I knew it was coming, so no big surprise there!
Thank goodness January was a long month so I will bill more this month!
Better get on with my invoicing!
Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!

It's been a while since I posted on this site so have probably been kicked off the challenge but just to let you know that I am still going and come to this forum as often as I can (not as often as I'd like though)
Total mortgage at beginning of challenge £82,558.12
Total mortgage at end of Dec 2007 £75,497.88
Total time left 20 years 3 months.
So have nearly managed my challenge but will carry on to try and make a further dent in my mortgage.
Keep up the good work!

I've just bought a motorbike and used my offset money to do it. I seem to be going backwards at the mo with my income tax and bikes (and a family holiday I have to pay for). I don;t think I'll have much of an update by March, but as I keep telling myself "It's a marathon not a sprint!"
I hope my little splurge doesn't mean I'll be drummed out of the MFi3 gang! :eek:Mortgage Free in 3 Years (Apr 2007 / Currently / Δ Difference)

managed to get the mortgage balance down to just over £7k but not really as its stoozepot money! I got a mini statement out today and the new bt has gone through so hope interest charges will continue to come down.
I'm going to apply for a couple more and see if I can get the balance in credit again! Its great when the bank pays you interest on your mortgage! A taste of things to come when we are all mortgage free yay!Save £12k in 2012 no.49 £10,250/£12,000

hrumph!
this is my final report on my slow stooze (0% on purchases) for the last year. i decided to drip the money into premium bonds and have had only one win (thank goodness though) for £50 during this time. i calculated i would have got just over double this in interest - but is was worth the chance of winning a bigger prize as it wasn't my money as such;)
at least i can even earn about £10 in interest on the money until i have to pay the bill later this month.
at least i have got my £7 a+l overdraft for only £5 a month! guess where that's gone?
you seem to have got it down to a fine art desp hwife!0 -
while I'm on the subject of stoozing, has anyone seen this? http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/7224268.stm strikes me that it does not bode well for future stoozing, it really seems as if the banks are taking this credit crunch extremely seriously. I reckon it will be thin pickings for borrowers in the future. All I can say is I'm glad I'm planning on paying off the mortgage!Save £12k in 2012 no.49 £10,250/£12,000

It lovely to read peoples updates and no DD we are not going to chuck you out for getting a bike. Just had my quote for the bathrooms £17k ouch that is a lot of money. Think we shall get a second quote.
I have done 1 mystery shop and 1 lines up and that £21 not bad. Also getting to grips with matchbetting think I am about £85 up but waiting for a few bets to get settled now.

I lost. I am bereft. I have no future. I have no expectation of income.
