Actually while making the above post I suddenly reasoned with myself that every day I am paying interest - so why wait until I have a certain amount cleared to make a payment???
Therefore I have paid the £50 from Quidco today.
I willl pay the £20 as soon as it is showing in my account and get a balance at the same time and then I will send a PM to TG as soon as I have done this!!
The money has been sent over, it just doesn't show yet, but should do before end of this week.Dream of being mortgage free....

Just has a quote for our fence which needs doing. We had asked a friend but he has taken forever to do it. This company can do it fo £450 so said yes and they started today. Will be so great to get it all done as it is about to blow over and ruin a newer part of the fence. Unfortunately there goes my overpayment for this month.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Hi Tallgirl
It feels bad, doesn't it, when something interrupts your plan - but you're investing it in your property, and safeguarding a previous investment in your house - not blowing it on a bottle of champagne or something (mind you, when you *are* MF, a bottle of champagne would be a jolly good idea!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

of course I will need a new one (like ASAP) but I cant do this any longer! I am finding my boss to be impossible - which is a shame because most other aspects of the job are ok:j Where there is a will there is a way - there is a way and I will find it :j0 -
I've just written out a £4.5k cheque to the VAT man, a £4k cheque to the Income Tax man and will soon be writing a £15k cheque to the Corporation Tax man.
I feel a bit sick, either from the yucky tasting glue I have just licked on the tax envelopes or from the thought of giving away £23,500 of my hard earned cash to a government that'll just waste it.
hmnn, I think it's the latter.Mortgage Free in 3 Years (Apr 2007 / Currently / Δ Difference)

DD I so agree! We've got to take a load of corporation tax dosh out of the offset account where it has been doing lots of good and send it to Alistair Darling. I must try not to cry when handing it over in the post office!"Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful." William Morris0

Oh dear.. you do know that it's illegal to take your CT out of the business account and put it into your personal account (or mortgage offset account)?
If you get audited, the tax man will come down on you like a ton of bricks!! :eek:Mortgage Free in 3 Years (Apr 2007 / Currently / Δ Difference)

Hopefully I am using the wrong term (DH is part of a LLP and they have a team of accountants and lawyers to advise them) for the cash!
Otherwise I will next be posting from Wormwood Scrubs. On the plus side, my grocery bill would then be deserving of the OS board!:rotfl:"Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful." William Morris0
