Mortgage Free in Three Yrs

Hi Everyone,
Just a note to say that I have met my challenge amount! Mortgage at start of challenge was £273k and is now just under £221k, a difference of approx. £51k.
We won't be able to keep that pace up (sadly) as it included some premium bonds and a small PEP but we'll do all we can!
I am going to set myself a new target of getting to under £200k by the end of this challenge. It will be hard as we are getting some work done to the house this year, but nothing ventured...

Hi,
I was just reviewing the list of all the MFiT challengees - more than 130 and counting !!
And there's a spin off MFW newbies 2008 thread, too.
It's fab, and I can't quite believe just how much this MFW thing has taken off. Haven't got anything in particular to say apart from "wow", and I'm so glad I'm part of this.
OK - will stop rambling now
Looking forward to the updates, TallGirl

I'm not very experienced at PMing but I thought I had sent you my figures:o...anyway, they are as follows:-
These are the figures I sent TG. I can't be MFi3 so I hadn't realised I could join in. We hope to be free in 5. My figures are
1.4.07 £182,557
1.10.07 £168565
1.1.08 £162827
This last figure might change yet. My (our?) quest is to pay off £75k in 3 years. We have an endowment with a min pay out of £35k with Norwich Union due to pay out in 2012, so our aim is to be MFi5....
Hope this is the right info. Thanks for my quest number :j:j:j:j

Go onto user CP, and the new window that comes up will have a panel to the left and your signature options are in there.

Hi TG - I promise I haven't forgotten, my £50 from Quidco is in my bank account as we speak. But am waiting for my £20 from Ebay to clear too. As soon as this happens will make a payment, ask for balance and will PM you!Dream of being mortgage free....
APR 2007 - £109,825 FEB 2012 - £98,664.53:beer:0 -
Got a letter from Nationwide today. My last £500 overpayment at the end of Dec 2007 has pushed my monthly mortgage payments down to £663 approx. That's over £20 off from the start of the year. Hoping to put in another £500 in February as I need to pay of my Xmas spend first!
So I'm on track to take £18k off my mortgage in 3 years although I'm hoping to take off more than that.0
