Just found an email from them for this offer which says

This is a special introductory offer for newcomers to findmypast.co.uk, so you won't be able to claim it if you've used one of our free credit codes in the past. The offer is restricted to one offer per individual, where it is assumed that each individual has their own individual device and their own individual email address.

so as said in my previous post no good if you have already had previous free credits.

May be they have picked up on all the free credits we got from the earlier codes!
  • I've had an email from them which says:
"We want you to get the most out of findmypast.co.uk so we're giving you the chance to reactivate any expired PayAsYouGo credits on your account.

If your credits expired within the last two years, we'll give them back to you (up to a maximum of 280) when you buy more credits on findmypast.co.uk

It's easy to reactivate your expired credits: sign in to findmypast.co.uk, click 'subscribe' on the top right of the page and choose either 280 or 60 credits. Once you've bought these, you'll be able to see your new credits total - which will include any expired credits - on the top right of any page when you're signed in to findmypast.co.uk "

If you have a load of the freeby credits that have been posted here that you haven't used this seems a fairly cheap way of activating them.
  • "We're giving you this fantastic offer to celebrate the 300,000 new records we recently added to our Royal Household staff collection. You can use your credits to explore the new Royal Household staff records, or any of the other records on findmypast.co.uk"

    YOURMAJESTY

Offer ends midnight 29 Sept 2013.

    Has anyone tried this?

I had a similar email with a different code telling me to share it with my friends. The code is only valid if you've not used any codes before.

Collect the passwords printed each day in the newspaper, from Saturday, November 9 until Sunday, November 17, 2013, to claim up to £7.50 worth of free credits to findmypast.co.uk.

I think you can take up this offer even if you have used codes before.

Have just used the one for today which gave me 20 free credits which have to be used within one month. I have used codes before and was able to use this one, no problem :)

I used them too. Sadly, the freebie magazine was one they issued before. :(

Same here. HERO not valid, but POPPY, SOLDIER and TRIBUTE worked.

Edit: Figured it out. It's a different page for the first code.

Go to this page http://www.findmypast.co.uk/content/offers/mail and then click "Claim Free Credits" button and on the next page input the password HERO which will give you 20 free credits.
