well having read this thread, I decided to pop over to Sainsburys for a mega 'basics' shop
got some cream cleaner for 32p, 6 tins of sweetcorn at 20p each, some thin bleach - big 2 litre bottles, toilet cleaner, and all purpose cleaner, all much cheaper than the pound shop, and based on the reports here bought two boxes of the tea bags, looks like they are about to reduce the contents on those as the shelve label said contents 50 tea bags, but the boxes had 80, heads up on that!
so far have tried the loo cleaner, wow it's amazing, converted to that for future use, got my dishcloth soaking in the bleach as we speak!:cool:0 -

Potato, onion and bacon pie under 50p !
2 large pots
1 large onion, sliced
4 slices of bacon
2 large potatoes, sliced
Put a layer of potato in the bottom of an ovenproof dish, then a layer of onion slices, then 2 slices of bacon. Repeat and end with potatoes. Add a little milk over the top and bake in the oven quite slowly for 45mins-1 hour.0 -

Hello, haven't read the whole thread so may just be repeating what others have said but my favorites are;
Tesco value baby bath-I bought loads at 12p a bottle but it now says 36p online???
Tesco value pine disinfectant-again I stocked up cheaper but now 31p online.
I have never bought expensive tinned tomatoes or baked beans as I don't think there is any difference. Same with cleaning stuff. Will try to think of some more.November GC-£128.30/£200
