Great thread, sorry to hijack but looked for this yesterday in my local Aldi
Could anyone tell me where it's usually displayed please and would it be ok for cauliflower/macaroni cheese?
Thanks
I've used it for macaroni, cauliflower and broccoli cheese and its fab. Its not in the store where you would expect. I've used 3 stores (2 in my local area and 1 in another so I'm assuming the location in store will be the same for yours). If you go along the freezer aisle (not the one next to the chilled but the other side, usually backing onto the "offers" baskets i.e. clothes, garden stuff), there are items above the freezer i.e. stock cubes, snack noodles, their own pot noodles, packet pasta + sauce (dried), gravy granules etc, its about there. Hope this helps. I would have expected it to be with the packets of pasta and jars of sauce etc. If you still can't see it ask one of the staff as they will be able to locate it for you.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Recently discovered Aldi's 'Chunky Chopped Tomatoes' (in a carton not a tin) for 39p. They are the nicest carton/tinned tomatoes I've ever had.Life is mainly froth and bubble

I've always made my own cheese sauce but am beginning to doubt whether it is really worth the outlay in ingredients and labour, going to try a few sauce mixes with fresh veg etc addedThe beautiful thing about learning is nobody can take it away from you.
Thanks to everyone who contributes to this wonderful forum. I'm very grateful for the guidance and friendliness that I always receive from you.

I usually make my own cheese sauce too but if I'm having an off day or I want to keep costs down I use the cheese sauce powder.
Home Bargains have Crosse & Blackwell Pasta in 5 (Macaroni Cheese is my favourite, surprise, surprise!) and its 39p. No need for milk to make this one, just water and heat.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Eeek, I'm so excited that I just had to share, morrisons has their savers chilli sauce back in store and it's down to 45p! It's the mildest chilli sauce I've found and at that price it's cheaper than the passata, onion and kidney beans I would need to make it. Plus adding a tin of beans makes it mild enough for even OH to love it.
Very much reccomend this
On a side note I'm wondering if I should be worried about the fact that I was so excited to find/share this that I an still in the supermarket carpark on my phone even though it is -2 and I'd have been better waiting till I got home to post this, hmmmm.0 -

:j, where about's in the store is it? Is it in a can/jar or bottle? Just so I know what I'm looking for. Must add it to the shopping list.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. It was in the aisle with the sweet and sour Chinese sauces and the Thai curries. It was actually shoved on the bottom shelf next to the savers sweet and sour underneath the free from range and it's in a jar, I think it's 440grams.0 -

Haven't read the whole thread, but we buy the value ketchup from both Mr T and Mr S. About 31p the last time we bought it. Husband used to eat Heinz, we've gone all the way down through the levels to value and he's still happy to eat it!
