Baking Mad There was an easi yo in my local charity shop this week, not sure if it is still there but it could be worth checking yours.
Had a totally up and down weekend. Got home on Friday night with a friend and thought that it was strange that the hall way light was on. Opened the door discovered I'd just disturbed some thieves who had ransacked my house, taken everything of value then proceeded to trash the place. I'm gutted, just devastated. I know its just stuff but it feels like they have attacked me. I have no insurance either as I don't live in a conventional residence so the quotes I got when I looked at the beginning of the year were over 100 a month
My main priority now is to try and replace they stuff that they have taken and also secure my car. They stole the spare key and I'm afraid they will come back for it. The dealership have quoted almost 700 pounds to totally replace the locks etc but they can reprogram the locks and immobiliser and order a spare key for about 200. Really can't afford this now and just want to cry
I'm back at work tomorrow which will be a welcome diversion. Taking lunch in with me and shall leave bank card at home so no popping into a supermarket on the way home. Hope you all have a great frugal week.
so sorry to hear this sending you a big hugYou can if you think you can .0 -

hi lola welcome xx Have you thought of getting a plastic screw top bottle and decanting half into the freezer (if you have a freezer?) goats milk freezes well..in fact ive found almost everything does execpt raw potatoes (apparently par boiled is ok but ive not tried this. Raw veg is fine chopped up too. if we get a good deal on veg i chop it into family sized portions into freezer bags (get good quality then you can reuse the bags x)
Did an approved food order sadly id already ordered so no free delivery for me boo..ordered loads of stock cupboard essentials 5 x 40 teabags for £1..and ive had this brand in greece and tastes ok to me..oh and 3.5kg of choc muffin mix..i envision we shall be eating cake a lot for sunday teas..(let them eat cake);)
oh and got my soap nuts sample, theres enough for 2 lots of washes you get 4 washes so 8 washes for 90p sample..fingers crossed its good then i can get the bog box for big savings!Compers challenge 27/70

Chika - my thoughts r with you, how awful you must feel violated
I have had a fairly frugal day, £10 electric (Key being taken out soon thank goodness) 40p for paper (collecting tokens for cheap hols) and £15 for 4 dining chairs. They need work but with a paint and re-cover will be lovely, they're nice and sturdy heavy oak chairs, very pleased.Mum to 2 DSs, dog mum, wife full-time worker.

Doing pretty well today bought 8 batteries for my bike lights for £6.17 delivered to my house instead of the £16 it would have cost me for the same batteries from the supermarket.
Spent about £7 on food shopping but hopefully i can now make it through the week without spending anymore on food.Sealed Pot 7 (No. 296 )
