    It's this one

    http://www.lakeland.co.uk/7531/EasiYo-Yoghurt-Maker

I bought it before Christmas when it was half price ~ love it so much I bought my daughter one for Christmas. Looks like it's not reduced at the moment but I think I'd probably pay full price for it.

I didn't bother with any of the extras... my son's vegan so we can't use any of their bases. I looked on the internet and found how to make soya yoghurt. Took a few goes cos apparently you can only use soya milk that has nothing but soya beans and water or it doesn't work. After a few goes I found the right milk and worked out how to get lovely thick yoghurt. Seriously, you have to slice the stuff I make :rotfl:

I think when it turned out runny it was because the 'milk' wasn't warm enough to ferment... I guess a thermometer would help with that?

Thank you so much, just had a quick look on eBay and there are a few of them for sale. Will keep an eye out for a good deal :D

Ok, walk of shame for me! Just ordered a pair of converse shoes for DD for her bday in summer, £13.50 spent. I know it's a really good deal and it'll be a great present for her but I'm annoyed with myself for spending money.

Note to self: stay away from "Quick, grab it" forum!!!

When I had bowel problems the bowel ward and Stoma nurse told me that the special diet foods were available on perscription, worth a trip to the GP

I worked in a pharmacy for 8 years many moons ago and all gluten free bread and crackers (I think they were crackers anyway) were definately given on prescription.
Nothing much else happening here, just really not looking forward to going back to work on Monday, although feel bad as really I should just be grateful that I have a job. Have a great evening everyone.

I'm back at work tomorrow too. I want to just to get back into a routine but I also love the lazy days being off :)
Little tip.... if you look for vegan cake recipes none of them use butter or eggs. The proportions will be good and moneysaving too :)
    I use this site a lot http://www.parsleysoup.co.uk/vegan_recipes.php
    HTH xx

I second that vintagebrighton. Her recipes always turn out perfectly too. We had friends over between Christmas and New Year and for dessert I made the sticky toffee pudding from this website. One of our friends had 3 portions of it!

So plan tomorrow is to take lunch into work and to be even more organised I'm going to sort out what I'm wearing for work all next week.
Enjoy the rest of the evening everyone

I don't believe in the concept of hell, but if I did I would think of it as filled with people who were cruel to animals.

Baking Mad There was an easi yo in my local charity shop this week, not sure if it is still there but it could be worth checking yours.

Had a totally up and down weekend. Got home on Friday night with a friend and thought that it was strange that the hall way light was on. Opened the door discovered I'd just disturbed some thieves who had ransacked my house, taken everything of value then proceeded to trash the place. I'm gutted, just devastated. I know its just stuff but it feels like they have attacked me. I have no insurance either as I don't live in a conventional residence so the quotes I got when I looked at the beginning of the year were over 100 a month :(

My main priority now is to try and replace they stuff that they have taken and also secure my car. They stole the spare key and I'm afraid they will come back for it. The dealership have quoted almost 700 pounds to totally replace the locks etc but they can reprogram the locks and immobiliser and order a spare key for about 200. Really can't afford this now and just want to cry :(

I'm back at work tomorrow which will be a welcome diversion. Taking lunch in with me and shall leave bank card at home so no popping into a supermarket on the way home. Hope you all have a great frugal week.
There are many things in life that will catch your eye, only a few will catch your heart. Pursue those.

OMG, how awful!!! I can't believe people do such horrible things! No wonder you feel vulnerable after it. Don't let it drag you down though, after all we are only at the very start of new year, it can only improve now, right???!!!

Oh no, what a horrible thing to happen :( Glad you're ok and things didn't turn nasty when you disturbed them. Take care xx

So sorry to hear your news Chika.

I came on to introduce myself. I am a teacher, mother to DD 11and DS 5. OH's income is very variable so we live on my income. I cleared £8,300 of debt last year and have built a £2,500 emergency fund. I want to get to a better position as my job causes me huge stress and I need options! MSE has been so helpful but I have also found Dave Ramsey really good - you can download free podcasts of his. I also love Pinterest for frugal ideas. Looking forward to sharing ideas.
