Did you pay by credit card?

If you did, read post #8 and follow the link to section 75 refunds.

    No need for S75.

If the company have failed to deliver (will depend on who said cancel) then there are chargeback rights which apply over debit & credit cards.
Of course if the OP used cash or cheque then there is only the court option.

I paid by debit card. The chap on the phone I have his name on file at my office said I would be refunded in full.

I'm going to send a letter to their head office and if they can't confirm that the cheque is in the post then I'm going to apply online to the small claims court.

I think this would be the right step?

    Thanks for the answers

No, it isn't the right step... yet.

Re-read the post immediately before yours.

Then read MSE's Debit Card Chargeback article.

  • We are also victims of the Floors 2 go refund policy scam, wish I would have Googled them and found this thread before handing over £874.99.

Same old story ordered flooring it will be in by XX date, it doesn't arrive further 3 week delay, asked for refund told not as easy as that!

Fobbed off about how we must fax (a badly photocopied) form to request refund and even then we might NOT get approved (SAYS WHO WE PAID-YOU DIDN'T DELIVER END OF), not hearing from them within the 10 days of faxing the forms, endless calls to Area Manager Andy Fletcher 07553 326 540 who never answers his calls, endless calls to rude arrogant staff, endless promises of "cheques in post NEXT week for full refund"

AND STILL THIS COMPANY IS ALLOWED TO TRADE IN THIS WAY! whilst getting people to pay for goods they do not supply on time. HOW CAN THESE PEOPLE SLEEP AT NIGHT, THEY MUST PAY THEIR ADMIN STAFF WELL WITH OUR CASH, TO PUT UP WITH THE HASSLES THEY MUST GET DAILY !

If you are looking for wooden floors go to factory flooring direct and ask for ADAM EXCEPTIONAL customer service and lower prices and no delays - ordered weds, delivered Friday £150 cheaper than the cowboys!:D

So, I have contacted Trading Standards Manchester and the Office of Fair Trading, I suggest if you are out of pocket and are duped by these cowboys, then you do the same as they are "gaining evidence" I also suggest we write to watchdog the more who complain the more we might get noticed and save more innocent shoppers!

In the meantime I have been advised to send them a recorded delivery letter with my complaint and give them 7 days notice to come up with a full refund or I seek legal action. ;) what they don't know is our family is full of Solicitors :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Watch this space.....I'm not holding my breath in the meantime!

If all else fails...if you have paid by credit card I'm told you can ask for a section 75 form and you will be refunded and THEY will then go after Floors 2 go for the refund, so we are hopefully winners in the long run as long as someone gets them to pay up I for one will be happy...to see them closed down for unfair trading standards even better :rotfl:
  • I am another victim of this scandal, as sadly I didn't see this thread before it was too late! Did this get resolved, or is it still ongoing?

Me too! in fact when I went into complain there was a guy already doing the same!

I agree put out as much negative information about them as possible, I am even thinking of protesting outside their store and making customers aware of their actions, I am looking into a lawful way of doing this...;)

As many people as possible PLEASE CONTACT TRADING STANDARDS AND WATCHDOG we should not let them get away with taking our hard earned cash and not supplying the goods!!

Floorstogomissing...Oh no, why did I not check, a family member recommended them but now he will no longer use them and he has put £1000's their way. Today we will visit the hedge end store, I will post the result here. £355 on flooring that never arrived. No answer to email and no answer at head office, 4 calls to staff at hedge end, who were non the wiser. Lady yesterday was very helpful and will do all she can today. £100 cash rest credit card, just hope something is in stock to replace what never arrived. White flooring so don't hold much hope!

    Re-read post #26.
The article mentioned also applies to credit cards.
  • I've had the same problems getting a refund from the Floors 2 Go Sheffield Branch, first ordered on the 29th May and wasn't told until the 13th July after loads of phone calls that the floor I ordered was dis-continued.
I filled in a refund request on the 15th July but still no cheque on the 1st August. No one answers the phone at head office and no replies to my emails.

I've now sent a claim to my Visa company.
