Interesting - I have spoken to just about every person at the head office, sent written letters warning of court action (which I will now be perusing) and spoken to the branch on about 6 or 7 different occasions. Every person I have spoken to has lied to me about my refund. Also nobody answers that number that you have put up! Try it for yourself if you don't believe me!0

Tbh, I find their head office is useless. Promised call backs that never materialise, unanswered emails, etc etc.
I've been waiting for a call back since June
Probably be quicker going through your bank.
I will go through my bank. But I am also going through trading standards now as the company should not be allowed to get away with theft.0 -
And after ringing for 45 mins got through to reception who were going to put me through to Malcom.... Only they put the phone down on me. And trying to call again now.0

So I got through after 2 hours of calling and asked for Malcolm - first time they put the phone down on me. Second time they told me you are out on the road and don't work in the office. Very clever Mr Malcolm.0

i used to be an employee of this company.
all they want is your money. after that its anyones guess, aftersales is appauling keep fobbing you off from shop to head office, run by out of school amatures that are trained the phones for you way . if anyone does buy from there make sure you get what you are buying as you do get what they have got in stock at the time.take what you buy on the day as they will sell it again if its ordered just to meet targets.the company have got no loyalties or customer care and if there are serious problems they just get passed on to area managers.
and as for malcolm james comment about complaints they do get hundreds all over the same issues.0 -
You'd think with their level of service all their head office staff would know how to spell complaint properly.!0

We have just had exactly the same experience with floors to go and are currently awaiting our refund from head office. We paid 1400 in December and are still waiting, we have been lied to by staff and told the flooring is coming but it is still out of stock and nobody has any idea when its due in. I have tried ringing head office to confirm that the refund is being processed but nobody answers. I have also reported this to BBC watchdog as I think it's a scam and needs investigating.
Will have to try and claim money back through the bank as thankfully we paid on a credit card.0 -
ModelTenant wrote: »Hi all,
after a lot of research on the internet and my own experience with Floors2Go, I wanted to inform you of the current scandal that Floors2Go are operating as I don't want others to suffer what I have suffered.
Early last month I purchased some wooden flooring on the condition it would be delivered the following week. They called me 2 days later to tell me I would have to wait 6 weeks. This was not feasible so I cancelled my order and they said I would have to go in-store to receive a refund.
I went in the following day and was told I would have to fill out some papers - they spent 20 minutes looking for the papers and told me they couldn't find them but they would process the refund anyway within a few days (by cheque as this is their company policy).
10 days later still no cheque had arrived so I called the head office and they said it was the stores fault and they would send me the cheque immediately.
A further 7 days later and still no refund. I called the store who said it was the head office's fault. The head office said it was the store's fault. The store chased it up and said I would have my money within 2-3 days.
Another 7 days passed and still no refund. I went into store to vent my frustration but they refused to give me a refund there due to "company policy". They showed me the papers they had faxed to the head office and I asked for a copy of them. I sent a "letter before action" letter with the copies of the faxed documents attached.
Still I have no refund and am left with no option but to take them to court.
If you google this on the net you will find it is a regular thing. Perhaps they do it to help their cash flow or to gain interest on 100s of customers unrefunded money. Either way I have informed trading standards of this in addition to BBC watchdog. I will be going as far and wide as possible to inform others of this too.
I am another victim of this scandal, as sadly I didn't see this thread before it was too late! Did this get resolved, or is it still ongoing?0 -
I also wish i would of had a look on here before paying out so much on a wooden floor with floors2go. We still have no refund from them.
We bought a floor and they confirmed it was in stock with delivery to be before 19th June. This note is actually written on the receipt.
This was from the floors2go store on chester rd, Stretford, manchester.
They then informed us that they could not deliver my floor and I'm still waiting for a refund of £2000. The chap who sold it me in the first place has now apparently left and clearly the last chap i spoke to has just lied saying i would have a refund in 10 days....no refund
Has anybody on here taken them to court? I am informing watchdog and trading standards but I can't actually afford another floor until i get a refund.0 -
Did you pay by credit card?
If you did, read post #8 and follow the link to section 75 refunds.0
