Molly - Keep smiling my love

Busy day, recruiting new kids for my next group. I had 8 booked in but only 6 turned up, all good kids though who have been offered a place. Then back to the office to do the admin this afternoon.

OS wise - packed lunch made, dishes washed, kitchen cleaned, house tidied, hoovered throughout. I want to make some bits tonight with the odds n sods in fridge and freezer so I have some meals ready made up for the next week.

    Have a good evening all

Mum has been diagnosed with breast cancer so have been helping her through that hopefully we are out the other side just waiting to start the radio therapy.
My best wishes to your Mum honey, I do hope all is going to plan I was diagnosed and treated and have just six more months of remission and my five years are up, fingers crossed and I get the all-clear.Its a rotten filthy disease and its devastating when you first hear it the diagnosis, but a positive mental attitude, and great support from my family helped me no end.I wish you all the luck in the world for a healthy recovery for your Mum.every day when I wake up I think Yes its another day nearer the five year mark and I haven't got time to be ill I have too much else to do with my family. It does however make you realise whats important in your life and makes you I think a different person as it does change your outlook on things. What once drove you potty seems insignificant in the bigger scheme of things
Good luck to you all and to anyone else who is going through this at the moment

I had a brilliant day with my pal and we talked the hind legs of the proverbial donkey.I am so stuffed from lunch that a snack later is all I really need I think.
so its feet up and a few soaps tonight whilst knitting.
have a good evening everyone and try not to stress its only just over a week until the big day :eek:
    Cheers chums

Jules - So sorry, hope DH makes a speedy recovery.
Tiredmum - Hugs to you and your Mum, congrats on promotion.
    BargainBird - Happy Birthday hen.

    Evening All

Where have the last 3 days gone? Been on 2 nights out, went to Edinburgh to see DS2 and GF before she goes to Finland to see her family for christmas, delivered loads of christmas pressies, took delivery of a humungous christmas tree (cut from friends land), decorated said tree, cooked proper meals, had friend to visit and just about finished to christmas shopping.

Washing surprisingly up to date, did the ironing this morning before I went to work DW just finished and had a quick hoover round. Going to clean my room tonight so that's another job done.

Hugs to all, LW I think you should go into counselling - you always seem to be able to give such good advice to so many.
    Take care. XX

Thanks to everyone for your wishes and support. This afternoon OH was trying to breathe slightly for himself, and the ventilation had been slightly reduced, however due to his agitation the sedation has beed increased again, oxygen levels have dipped and ventilator turned back up! Still no idea what the infection is, and still can't get his temperature under control, however on the plus side he is not any worse............one day at a time!

Aw, Jools, what an awful thing to happen. It's always bad but seems somehow worse at Christmas when there's so much festivity about. Thoughts and prayers are with you.

Bargain bird: Not much of your birthday left. Hope it was a good one.

Absolute chaos here. My 'to-do' list hasn't seen any reduction in the last 3 days. My time table for the run up to Christmas is out of the window and I reckon most of my cards will be arriving sometime in January.
    Hey-ho! We'll muddle through I dare say.

Lots of the chaos is being caused by Open Arms - in a good way. Lots of elderly people are donating us their heating allowance which is so touching. One couple didn't donate the money but went out and bought £200 of food - which is now in our dining room/stock room. We can still just squeeze into it. People's generosity really humbles me. We are doing a Christmas meal on Christmas day - such a difficult time for them. There was a lot of depression and tears on Sunday and I think it has been brought on by unreal expectations massaged by advertisers. Suddenly the deep divide between the 'haves' and 'have-nots' is thrown into sharp focus.

I hope a good meal. little prezzies and silly hats will go some way to rescuing the day.

Love to be interesting and entertaining but it's just too late.
    Good night.

    Hello all,

Jules....hugs and healing vibes to you and OH.

    Bargainbird....Happy birthday

Got my tree at long last yesterday.....€45 but is in a pot and can be put outside in it to keep for next year....OH has made a small effort with lights, will have to nudge him into greater action to-morrow.

Hugs to all, sleep well and stay warm

    Hi all,

Just popped in to wish BB a belated happy Birthday:beer:
Lots of positive vibes from down under for Jules and her family x
Tired Mum positive healing vibes for your mum x
I read most days even when I don't post. Hope you are all keeping well.
The wedding was wonderful, very emotional the bride was beautiful and the groom gorgeous ( but then I'm biased) will post pics when I can.
Today's plans involve taking DGS to see the kangaroos and tomorrow a visit to the zoo. Thurs is a morning at the beach:D

Still not feeling Christmassy but all the presents are wrapped and under the tree. Just need a few bits for ds3.
Ds2 has gone off to Bali for a few days with his gf so the house is a little quieter.
No idea what's for tea but probably involves salad.
Hope you all sleep well and wake up refreshed. Have already had our breakfast and organising lunch. Bye for now J x
